| In order to explore the Relative Age Effect(RAE)of athletes in China’s campus football summer camp, this paper took the birth date of the players who participated in the 2020 National Youth campus football summer camp as the research object.Among them,sub-battalion stage(n = 5570),general battalion stage(n = 2313)and national stage(n = 496).Research methods such as literature review, expert interview, mathematical statistics and logical analysis are used to discuss the relative age phenomenon of campus football in China and analyze the causes of this phenomenon and provide strategies. The research conclusion shows that:1.In the camp stage, male and female athletes have different degrees of relative age effect in the selection of primary school, middle school and high school. The relative age effect of male athletes at 13 ~ 14 years old(Group B)and female athletes at 12 ~ 13 years old(Group A)is the highest.2.In the general camp stage, the relative age effect ratio of male athletes aged 12-13 in primary school(group A)and 13-14 in middle school(Group B)was twice as high as that in the sub-camp;The relative age effect ratio of female athletes aged 12-13 in primary school(group A)was nearly three times that of the age group. The relative age effect of male athletes at 13 ~ 14 years old(Group B)and female athletes at 12 ~ 13 years old(Group A)is the highest.3.The national stage, young players relative age effect are positively related with their age,the relative age effect value trend is inverted "V" type, men than women’s player development trend of relative age effect more apparent, men’s players in middle school at the beginning of paragraph 13 ~ 14 years old(group B)reach their peak values of the relative age effect, and then gradually decline;Female players aged 12-13(Group A)and 16-17(Group B)had the highest relative age effect. The relative age effect of athletes in national stage was the highest compared with those in sub-camp and general camp. There are the following problems in the selection of players in China’s youth campus football summer camp :(1)lack of professional knowledge and problem awareness;(2)Extensive grouping methods, ignoring the differences of players;(3)Lack of policy guidance and neglect of fairness;(4)Simple operation means, ignoring key information;(5)The task evaluation is extensive and lacks scientific basis.Combined with the expert interview and the system model of the relative age effect of team sports, the above problems are addressed, which is embodied in full participation of questions, fine group, average distribution, age visualization and scientific evaluation,so as to further improve the quality of selection of excellent players in China’s youth campus football summer camp. |
