Research On The Employment Effect And Countermeasures Of The 2022 Winter Olympic Games On Zhangjiakou

The impact of the new normal has increased great pressure on the economy.Domestic consumption,investment and exports have declined,and employment pressure has increased significantly.Taking into account the current situation,we will give top priority to maintaining employment and ensuring people’s well-being this year.The bid and hosting of the Winter Olympics is a stage to realize the "Chinese Dream" in the new era.It will showcase the achievements of China’s reform and opening up and the comprehensive strength of the engine of the world economy.Different from Beijing,holding the Winter Olympic Games is a rare opportunity for Zhangjiakou.It can take this opportunity to take sports as a breakthrough point and drive the city into a new historical period of leapfrog development.Based on the theories of regional economics and labor economics,this study uses the literature method,mathematical statistics method and comparative research method,aiming to put forward targeted promotion strategies for the Winter Olympic Games to promote employment in Zhangjiakou.This study is divided into five parts:The first part mainly analyzes the muti-value of employment in host cities driven by the Winter Olympic Games.Based on the comparison between the Winter Olympic Games and the Summer Olympic Games,this part sorts out the diversified advantages of the Winter Olympic Games in employment from the aspects of employment increment,labor quality,long-term employment and focused industries.The second part is the historical experience of the Winter Olympics in promoting employment.This part firstly sorts out the achievements of the previous Winter Olympics in promoting employment,and then summarizes the effective measures taken by the previous Winter Olympics in promoting employment in the host cities.At the same time,it also sums up the common problems of "trough effect" and insufficient attention of the Winter Olympic Games in promoting employment,and extracts the enlightenment of Zhangjiakou to repeatedly grasp the opportunity of the Winter Olympic Games and promote the long-term employment effect by combining the strategy of employment priority.The third part is the analysis of Zhangjiakou’s current employment situation and potential measurement.Based on the previous research,this part sorted out the employment structure and current situation of Zhangjiakou,and analyzed the different influences of holding the Winter Olympics on the employment of Zhangjiakou before,during and after the Games.Then,the author calculated the employment elasticity and employment skewness of Zhangjiakou in detail,and compared the coefficient results with the representative cities of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,and found that the employment potential of Zhangjiakou needs to be further developed,and the successful holding of the Winter Olympic Games is a powerful opportunity for the labor market reform of Zhangjiakou.The fourth part is the analysis of employment promotion effect of the Winter Olympics on Zhangjiakou.Based on the input-output analysis method,this part finds that the impact of the Winter Olympics on the GDP of Zhangjiakou City accounts for 68.45%of its GDP in 2019.Based on the quantitative perspective,it is estimated that holding the Winter Olympic Games will create 816,700 new jobs in Zhangjiakou,which reflects the very considerable employment promotion effect of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games for Zhangjiakou.The fifth part is the promotion strategy of Zhangjiakou employment driven by the Winter Olympic Games.This part puts forward targeted development strategies to improve the employment of Zhangjiakou driven by the Winter Olympic Games from the aspects of policy formulation,talent training,industrial development and cultural integration.
