Research On Employment Issues Of Xinfengjiang Reservoir In Dongyuan County

The employment of immigrants is a key issue in the later stage of immigration support.It is related to the social stability of the resettlement area and the smooth realization of the comprehensive construction of a well-off society.Solving the employment problem of immigrants is the top priority of implementing the support work in the later stage of immigration,and it is also the essential requirement of socialism with Chinese characteristics.The immigrants from Xinfengjiang Reservoir in Dongyuan County have contributed to their hometown and sacrificed land for the purpose of national water conservancy,but their employment problems have not been guaranteed accordingly.After resettlement,some immigrants were forced to lose their jobs due to lack of knowledge and labor skills.In recent years,relevant government departments have introduced corresponding policy guarantee measures to address the problem of employment difficulties for immigrants.However,from the current situation of immigration employment,the effect is not obvious.The employment problems facing immigrants from Xinfengjiang Reservoir are still serious.Therefore,the study on the employment of the immigrants from Xinfengjiang Reservoir has important practical significance.After explaining and defining the related concepts of immigration employment,this paper discussed employment-related theories:employment theory,human capital theory,and employment promotion theory in western economics.Through field surveys and interviews,the employment of immigrants in Xinfengjiang Reservoir was analyzed.The status quo summarizes the existing problems and causes of the immigration employment,draws on the experience and enlightenment of the employment of the immigrants from the Qigang Village Reservoir and the Three Gorges Reservoir,and puts forward suggestions to promote the employment of the immigrants from the Xinfengjiang Reservoir.This paper uses a combination of literature research,field investigation,and case studies to summarize the Xinfengjiang Reservoir on the basis of reading a large amount of literature,summarizing domestic and foreign advanced research results,and analyzing the employment status of the Xinfengjiang Reservoir in Dongyuan County.Problems with immigration employment:low employment rate,insufficient employment,irrational employment structure,poor employment stability,low employment income,and low employment satisfaction.According to the existing problems of the employment of the immigrants from the Xinfengjiang Reservoir,the causes are analyzed:first,the government’s employment support is weak;second,the employment training system is backward;third,the economic development of the reservoir area is backward,and the employment space is small;fourth,the employment of immigrants Lack of ideas;Fifth,lack of knowledge and skills.Based on the analysis of the reasons,specific countermeasures to address the employment of the Xinfengjiang Reservoir resettlers are proposed.The first is to improve the immigration employment security system:improve immigration employment policies and regulations,formulate long-term development plans for immigration employment income growth;improve the immigration employment training system,create a one-stop platform for immigration "employment-training";and strengthen the construction of immigration management institutions and cadres.The second is to promote local economic development and promote the full employment of immigrants:broaden employment space in resettlement areas;improve employment facilities in resettlement areas.The third is to improve the comprehensive quality of immigrants and enhance their market competitiveness:changing traditional employment concepts;and improving their knowledge and skills.
