Alliance is a significant gripper for the United States to participate in global politics, safeguard national security and realize national interests, and a major platform for cooperation with its Allies in various fields.,There is a “Pivot Strategy”in the Indo-Pacific alliance system of the United States, that is,by allying with or developing friendly relations with the pivot countries, and taking advantage of their special geographical position and possible special role,to contend or control the pivot countries to achieve their own strategic goal. This strategy can be seen as a supplement to the alliance strategy. At present, the Indo-Pacific region is of increasing strategic value in the world. The Asia-Pacific security strategy of the United States has been transformed into the Indo-Pacific security strategy, and the United States national strategy is tilting towards the region. In this context, the United States strengthened its cooperation with the geopolitical pivot countries, giving the pivot countries and relevant mechanisms nested in order to maintain US regional and global hegemony in a low-cost and efficient manner. On September 15,2021,the US President Joe Biden, the then British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the then Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison jointly announced the formation of a new trilateral security alliance(AUKUS).Under this framwork, the United States and The United Kingdom will provide nuclear submarine technology to Australia. The establishment of AUKUS is another substantive step taken by the United States to continuously strengthen alliance management in the Asia-Pacific and even the Indo-Pacific region, and to build "Indo-Pacific version of NATO" in the field of military security. It is an extension of the Asia-Pacific pivot strategy to the Indo-Pacific region. As a new type of military security partnership,we can obseve its relationship with the pivot strategy,it makes the actions of the United States in the Indo-Pacific region more flexible and has an institutional basis,so as to shape a new US-led view of regional order. In order to implement the Indo-Pacific strategy, the United States has constantly adjusted its alliance system, fully mobilized pivot countries, and endowed the geofulcrum with a new mission and a clearer division of labor. The adjusted pivot strategy has more flexibility, adaptability, compatibility and scalability,it can expand bilateral alliances to small multilateral, multilateral, and even series alliance network, enhancing the overall planning and integration of the U.S.global strategy. The establishment of AUKUS focuses on major power competition, which may trigger new regional problems in neighboring countries and disturb the regional security structure.China should pay attention to it and put forward countermeasures in due course.
