| Family education is the starting point of life education,related to children,families,the future and hope of society.With the development of economy,most young people in rural areas move to cities in search of better development opportunities,and their children cannot move with them due to various factors and continue to grow in the countryside,thus giving rise to the special group of rural left-behind children.Promoting the healthy growth of left-behind children is the common responsibility of the whole society and the responsibility of the government.As a policy maker,service provider,environment builder and coordination manager,the government plays an irreplaceable role in promoting the solution of family education problems for rural left-behind children and facilitating the development of family education.Taking Z City of H Province as an example,based on social support theory and collaborative governance theory,this paper adopts mixed research methods,that is,a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods,supplemented by questionnaires and interviews,and obtains first-hand information through field investigations in counties with a large number of left-behind children and interviews with staff of relevant government units.In-depth study of Z City government’s support for family education of rural left-behind children.Further analysis found that the government support for family education of rural left-behind children in Z city still has some problems,such as unclear orientation and guarantee of support policies,superficial government support activities,and lagging environmental construction restricting the development of family education of left-behind children.The reasons behind the problem lie in the lack of economic support from the government,the unsound operation mechanism,the low degree of specialization of the supporting subjects and the increased risk of promoting family education comprehensively driven by interests.Combined with the actual situation of Z city,the paper puts forward specific suggestions on increasing the supply of resources,strengthening the organizational guarantee,improving the system and mechanism,and creating the public opinion environment,in order to improve the effectiveness of Z City government’s support for the family education of rural left-behind children,constantly meet the growing practical needs of the family education of rural left-behind children in the new era,and ensure the children’s healthy growth. |
