Research And Countermeasures Of Xi’an E-government Information Security Management Issues

With the revolution of the Internet and the rapid development of network and information technology in recent years,the government’s approach to handling affairs has undergone significant changes.The various applications of e-government have become increasingly popular.Due to its convenience,speed,flexibility,efficiency,and high information carrying capacity,e-government has been highly valued by various government departments as an important solution to administrative efficiency.At the same time,due to the characteristics of e-government,such as being network-based,data-intensive,and highly sensitive,it has become a target of many forces,posing a great threat and challenge to our country’s information security environment.Information security has now risen to the level of a national strategic priority.Therefore,how to further improve the management level of information security,better protect the security of our country’s core data,and safeguard our core interests has become an urgent issue that needs attention.As a major central city in the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration,Xi’an City has developed rapidly in terms of economy,culture,population,and city size in recent years.However,its information security protection is not satisfactory,and there is very little research on the management of e-government information security.Objectively,this has also constrained the development of e-government in Xi’an City.The author took the electronic government information security management of Xi’an city as the research object,and used methods such as literature research,comparative research,and questionnaire survey to study the current situation,existing problems,and causes of electronic government information security management in Xi’an city.It was found that Xi’an city has made certain achievements in the construction of electronic government information security legal system,management organization structure,and information technology capabilities.However,the overall level of electronic government information security management is still insufficient,with potential risks remaining significant.There is still much room for improvement in management institutions,legal system construction,personnel and equipment management.Additionally,combining with the theories of new public management and collaborative governance,as well as the experience of advanced countries and regions at home and abroad,five suggestions were put forward,including establishing sound legal systems,improving management systems,enhancing information security technology levels,increasing financial investment,and constructing a complete emergency support system,in order to effectively enhance the level of electronic government information security management in Xi’an city.
