Analysis Of Residents’ Travel Mode Choice And Influencing Factors In Luoyang City

Luoyang is the first third-tier city in China to open rail transit.It is the only city in Northwest China where public transportation system,rail transit,private transportation,shared bicycle and shared electric bicycle coexist.In order to promote the prosperity and development of Luoyang ’s economy and tourism,meet the increasing and diversified travel needs of urban residents and create a green travel environment in the city,Luoyang has opened rail transit and actively created a ’ bus city ’,vigorously developing public transportation.However,the continuous construction of rail transit and various transportation infrastructures in Luoyang City and the increasing amount of various means of transportation have led to the saturation of traffic flow at multiple main road intersections in the urban area,the low rate of public transportation,the serious congestion of vehicles,and the frequent contradictions among various means of transportation,which have seriously affected residents’ travel and restricted the healthy development of urban transportation.This paper takes Luoyang residents ’ travel mode choice as the research object,analyzes the current situation of Luoyang residents ’ travel mode choice,screens the influencing factors of urban residents ’ travel mode choice,puts forward relevant assumptions and constructs a theoretical model analysis framework that affects urban residents ’ travel mode choice.Descriptive statistics,chi-square test,disordered multi-classification Logistic regression and other methods are used to explore its influence mechanism and influence effect.According to the research conclusions,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to develop and improve Luoyang residents ’ travel mode choice from five aspects : public transportation,private transportation,shared transportation,travel concept and coordinated development.The purpose is to provide theoretical basis and operation management countermeasures for meeting the diversified travel needs of residents,promoting the safe and convenient travel of residents,the coordinated development of various means of transportation and the sustainable development of urban transportation.
