With the rapid development of China’s economy and the gradual progress of medical care, the life expectancy of our residents is also increasing year by year.At the same time, due to the aging of our population, the number of elderly people is increasing year by year, which brings a series of retirement problems.Since the beginning of the 21 st century, the issue of old age has been of great concern to scholars from all walks of life.At the same time,China has implemented the policy that a couple can have three children in the last two years, and the number and structure of children in a family has gradually attracted widespread attention. Therefore, this paper combines these two hot issues to empirically analyze the influence of the number and structure of children on the choice of retirement model of residents with theoretical and practical significance. This paper takes Chinese residents aged 45 and above with two or more children as the research object and analyzes the factors influencing their retirement model choice.Firstly, this paper analyzes the influencing factors on the choice of retirement model for residents aged 45 and above with many children in China using the CHARLS2018 database, and the analysis results show that family retirement is still the first choice for most residents in multi-child families.By establishing a logistic regression model,it shows that the two independent variables of the number of children and the structure of children present significant effects on the choice of retirement mode, the more the number of children, the more inclined to choose family retirement, and the more males among children, the more likely to choose family retirement;the seven control variables of marital status, occupational status, education level, annual personal income, geographical area of residence, whether there is pension insurance, and whether there is chronic disease have The seven control variables, including marital status, occupational status, education level, personal annual income, geographical location, availability of pension insurance, and chronic diseases, have significant effects on the choice of elderly care model for residents with many children.Through the heterogeneity analysis,it is found that the number of children and the gender structure of children have different impacts on urban and rural residents with many children and residents with many children who pay pension insurance or not. Then the ISM model is used to divide the nine influencing factors, and the direct surface influencing factors include: residence area, endowment insurance, the number of children, the structure of children;Indirect middle-level factors include: marital status, personal annual income;Deep root influencing factors include: occupational status, education level, chronic diseases. Finally,we propose a suitable pension model system and related policy recommendations.Specifically, the following policies are proposed: appropriately expand the beneficiary area of the old-age subsidy policy and give additional subsidies to the children who take care of the elderly for home care;continuously develop the home care market, while improving the education and training policy of the elderly service personnel;establish a multi-level old-age insurance system, vigorously develop the economy, and invest more resources in old-age security and welfare;develop the"Internet+" medical and health care integration model." medical and health care integration model. |
