Implementing performance evaluation for teachers and establishing a reward and punishment mechanism for performance evaluation can help avoid the drawbacks of the administrative performance management model,promote the development of the teaching staff,and improve the work efficiency of school teachers.The middle school stage,as the final stage of compulsory education,occupies an important position in the educational structure.With the continuous development of education and teaching reform in China,the education industry is moving towards a better direction.However,due to the lack of performance evaluation theory in China,the personnel management system is still outdated,and the performance evaluation of teachers is not standardized.As a city with good economic development in China,Qingdao continues to develop various undertakings in schools.However,in terms of performance evaluation system,there are still problems such as a single subject for teacher performance evaluation,misplaced concept of teacher performance evaluation,unreasonable design of teacher performance evaluation indicators,unscientific methods for teacher performance evaluation,and incomplete feedback mechanism for teacher performance evaluation.This article uses research methods such as literature review,questionnaire,and interview to explore the current situation of teacher performance evaluation in four high schools in Licang District,Qingdao.It analyzes the problems in performance evaluation of high schools in Qingdao,and analyzes the reasons for them.The main manifestations include inadequate evaluation supervision and management mechanisms,high difficulty in teacher performance evaluation,and one-sided understanding of performance evaluation The development and implementation of performance evaluation plans are not highly democratic,and the concept of performance evaluation is outdated.In response to the existing problems,it is proposed to improve the performance evaluation procedures,starting from improving the development process of the teacher performance evaluation system and reforming the teacher performance evaluation procedures;Establish an advanced concept of teacher performance assessment and address the issue of misplaced performance assessment concepts;Reasonably constructing a performance evaluation index system and management mechanism;Establish a diversified performance evaluation method system,achieve diversified evaluation subjects and forms,and combine formative evaluation with phased evaluation;Emphasize the feedback and application of teacher performance evaluation results.Based on the above strategies,we aim to establish a scientific,reasonable,and fair income distribution system,which is expected to help promote the continuous development of various undertakings in the school.
