Research On The Impact Of Disinformation Upon College Students’ Network Integrity And Countermeasures

Honesty and trustworthiness,as a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation,is not only the requirement of the core socialist values on the individual level,but also the cornerstone and important feature of social harmony.Network integrity is the embodiment of social integrity in cyberspace,an important content of the construction of network morality.Under the background that everyone is a "journalist" and everyone has a "microphone",the information resources in cyberspace are extremely rich.However,some disinformation spreads in the network.Disinformation is misleading,confused and deceptive,which brings negative effects to individuals and society in different degrees.For individuals,it is easy to mislead personal cognition,destroy the trust between people,and induce the lack of network integrity behavior.For the society,it is easy to reduce the level of social trust,create a crisis of social integrity,disturb the normal social order,destroy social stability and harmony.Especially in major emergencies,such as the COVID-19 epidemic and natural disasters,disinformation may cause major online public opinion events,resulting in a series of chain reactions,and harm the interests of the country,society and people seriously.College students are an important group to participate in the network.Because they are not mature physically and mentally,they are easy to be affected by external environment.The widespread existence of disinformation affects the behavior habits of college students to a certain extent.For some college students with weak self-control ability,lack of prevention and recognition ability,and low level of network integrity,under the induction of disinformation,they may become participants and spreaders of disinformation,and commit some network integrity loss or even illegal and criminal behaviors.For example,forwarding disinformation,fabricating false statements,carrying out false propaganda,taking part-time jobs as online water soldiers,defaming of others online,engaging in online fraud,etc.These behaviors affect college students’ physical and mental health and the development of online integrity to varying degrees.Therefore,this paper takes the combination of disinformation and college students’ network integrity as the research topic,adopting literature analysis and questionnaire survey to get the specific s of disinformation affecting college students’ network integrity,analyzing the reasons behind the problems,and putting forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions.The article is divided into five parts.The first part expounds the background,purpose and significance of the topic,summarizes the research status at home and abroad,and introduces the research methods and key and difficult points of the topic.The second part defines the core concepts of integrity,network integrity,college students’ network integrity and disinformation,and expounds relevant theoretical basis of network integrity.The third part is to carry out a questionnaire survey on the impact of disinformation upon college students’ network integrity in three universities in Nanchong City.Through the analysis of the survey data,four manifestations of disinformation impact upon college students’ network integrity are summarized.The fourth part analyzes the three causes of the problem: Firstly,social false behavior has not been fundamentally improved;Secondly,the level of college education management needs to be improved;Thirdly,the comprehensive quality of a few college students is not strong.The fifth part puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to dispel the impact of disinformation on the network integrity of college students from the perspective of society,university and college student.At the social level,it should actively respond to disinformation actively to improve the overall social integrity level.Firstly,strengthen publicity of honesty and trustworthiness,create a law-abiding social atmosphere.Secondly,optimize the supervision of disinformation,create a positive network environment.Thirdly,strengthen the punishment of false behavior,promote the construction of social credit system.Fourthly,strengthen cyberspace moral construction,improve the overall level of social integrity.At the level of colleges and universities,they should improve the mode of education management and promote the development of campus network integrity.Firstly,strengthen the network integrity education,promote the network integrity habit.Secondly,optimize the information course teaching,improve the cognitive ability of disinformation.Thirdly,strengthen the communication and interaction of campus police,build disinformation "firewall".Fourthly,pay attention to the construction of honesty archives,optimize the way of honesty management in colleges and universities.Fifthly,deepen the construction of school style and study style,create a cultural atmosphere of integrity on campus.At the individual level,improve the comprehensive quality of college students,practice and lead the network integrity actively.Firstly,strengthen anti-fraud learning,prevent being cheated effectively.Secondly,foster a rule-of-law mindset,get into the habit of finding the law when things go wrong.Thirdly,strengthen the sense of responsibility,resist disinformation actively.Fourthly,strengthen moral self-discipline,practice network integrity consciously.Starting from the influence of disinformation on college students,this study aims to explore effective ways to cultivate college students’ network integrity quality,improve their network integrity moral level,and solve the problem of college students’ online dishonesty from the perspective of dealing with disinformation,so as to better promote the development of college students’ network integrity.
