Research On The Practice And Significance Of Chinese Modernization Road Since Reform And Opening Up

With the continuous development of society and the advancement of science and technology,modernization is an inevitable trend in the development of human society.Nowadays,China is in the midst of a great change unprecedented in a century.In the complex environment of economic globalization and world multipolarization,a strong country that can stand in the forest of the world ’s nations must adhere to a path that conforms to its own characteristics and gradually improves with the changes of the times,and the path of Chinese modernization is the cornerstone of national prosperity,social stability and people’s happiness.Based on this,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out at the conference celebrating the 100 th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China that "our adherence to and development of socialism with Chinese characteristics has created a new road of Chinese-style modernization and a new form of human civilization." The study of the Chinese-style modernization road since the reform and opening up is conducive to enriching the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and demonstrating Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions for developing countries.This paper starts from the overview of the Chinese modernization road since the reform and opening up,clarifies the concept of modernization and the Chinese modernization road,and studies it through the theories of modernization by Marx’s classical writers and Mao Zedong’s modernization thought as the theoretical basis.On the basis of this,the study of "Reform and Opening-up and the Initial Exploration of" Chinese Modernization "","Successive Development of Chinese Modernization Road in the New Century" and "Chinese Modernization Road in the New Era" is conducted.The paper then examines the main elements of the Chinese modernization path since the reform and opening up of China,and understands its basic features from the perspective of the "Five-in-One",based on the basic national conditions at this stage.By studying its content and characteristics,we conclude that the theoretical value of the Chinese modernization path since the reform and opening up is that it has enriched the Marxist theory of modernization and improved the theoretical treasury of socialism with Chinese characteristics;its practical significance is that it has enabled China’s comprehensive national power to grow and its international status to rise,and it has provided a reference for developing countries to "follow their own path".
