In 2021,at the National Poverty Alleviation Summary and commendation Conference,General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly pointed out that: " Rural revitalization is a major task to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation." As an area with the largest land area, the largest number of poor people and relatively low economic development level, the western region is not only an important ecological barrier and energy export area in China, but also a difficult area to effectively link rural revitalization and promote the construction of common prosperity after the war to fight against poverty.Industry is the foundation of rural revitalization, and farmers are the key force in achieving this goal. However, the lack of human resources among farmers in the western region has led to a low level of employment among migrant workers, and farmers who remain in rural areas are also unable to fulfill the task of rural revitalization.Vocational farmer training,as the most convenient means of human capital investment, has become an effective measure to improve farmers’ knowledge and skills, and cultivate high-quality labor. At present, there are still many problems in the training of vocational farmers in western counties. In view of this, firstly, this study defines the relevant concepts involved and elaborates on the theoretical basis applied in this article, mainly including human capital theory, personnel job matching theory, and comprehensive human development theory.Secondly, based on the data obtained from field research and in-depth interviews,an introduction is made to the current situation of farmer training in X County,Gansu Province. Then, the factors causing problems in vocational farmer training in western counties are analyzed from five aspects: training objects, training needs, training teachers, training content, training effectiveness and role. Finally,in response to the high willingness, low participation rate, poor training effectiveness, and low quality of farmer training in X County,Gansu Province,A series of measures and suggestions have been proposed to improve the training level of vocational farmers in X County due to the problems of supply and demand imbalance and insufficient supply during training. |
