Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of A Holistic Approach To National Security Education For College Students In The New Era

National security concerns the survival and destruction of the country,and is tightly related to the fundamental benefits of the people.On the one hand,significant changes have taken place in the current international strategic pattern and the balance of comprehensive national strength.Unprecedented changes in a century and the outbreak of global epidemics overlap with each other.The world has entered a new period of turbulence and change,and international relations have become more complex.On the other hand,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered the new era and is experiencing the most extensive and profound social changes in China’s history.National security is being more complex.The holistic approach to national security is a new summary,new judgment and new thought of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the issue of national security.It is profound in connotation and far-reaching in significance,which conforms to the trend of the times and responds to the major concerns of the people.It is not only related to national security and social stability,but also has a very important guiding significance for cultivating new people of the times who are worthy of the important task of national rejuvenation.As builders and successors of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics,college students must fully understand the core content and essence of the holistic approach to national security,consciously practice the holistic approach to national security and effectively enhance their ability to maintain national security.In recent years,universities have actively explored and promoted education on the holistic approach to national security,and have made significant progress in improving ideological awareness,deepening educational reform,enhancing educational practice,and improving educational effectiveness.However,there is still a considerable distance from the goals of cultivating new talents of the era and requirements proposed by the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to promote the modernization of the national security system and capabilities.It is necessary to innovate and enhance these respects of the content system,educational methods,practical approach and the construction of the teaching staff.Some college students lack sufficient attention and understanding of the holistic approach to national security,and their awareness,level,and ability to maintain overall national security need to be further enhanced.Considering the requirements of safeguarding national security and the current problems in education of college students’ holistic approach to national security,universities must improve the holistic approach to national security education system,incorporate the holistic approach to national security education into the talent training program and effectively strengthen the construction of national security discipline majors and teaching staff.In addition,We must strengthen the main battlefield of the holistic approach to national security education and fully utilize the role of ideological and political courses and curriculum ideology and politics.Moreover,We must expand the educational practice of the overall national security concept,encourage college students to consciously practice the holistic approach to national security,enhance their ability to safeguard national security and play an irreplaceable role in the new journey of comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese path to modernization.
