Based on the background of the adjustment of fertility policy, the strengthening of migration trend and the transformation of women’s gender role attitudes, this paper mainly studies two issues. The first is whether migration has an impact on the gender role attitudes of women of childbearing age? The second is whether the gender role attitudes of migrant women of childbearing age has an impact on their willingness to bear children? Based on these two issues, this paper first conducts a descriptive analysis of the China General Social Survey 2018 data, hoping to obtain the different characteristics of the three groups of non-migrant women of childbearing age,intra-provincial migrant and inter-provincial migrant women of childbearing age.Second, the research hypotheses were tested using multiple linear regression models, negative binomial regression models, and unordered multiple logistic regression models. Finally, the literature analysis method is used to analyze the restrictive factors of the willingness of migrant women of childbearing age to bear children.Through the above analysis, the main conclusions of this paper are as follows.First,Migrant women of childbearing age have a more modern attitudes of gender roles than non-migrant women of childbearing age.Second, having 2 children is ideal for most migrant women of reproductive age.The concept of patriarchy has weakened, and the preference for both children has become the mainstream.Third, the more traditional gender role attitudes, the higher the ideal number of children, and vice versa.Fourth, the more traditional the gender role attitudes, the more likely to have a boy preference;the more modern the gender role attitudes, the more likely to be indifferent to the gender of the child.Fifth, restrictions on childbearing policies related to the problem of "not daring to have children" have been partially resolved, and the problem of employment pressure for migrant women related to the problem of "not wanting to have children" and the problem of childbearing costs related to the problem of "not being able to have children" still need to be resolved.Through the above research, this paper first finds a new path of gender role attitudes between migration and fertility intention, which expands the research perspective for explaining the fertility intention of floating population.Secondly, this paper finds some factors that restrict the willingness of migrant women of childbearing age to bear children, and puts forward the following suggestions to solve the problems. The first suggestion is to continue to promote gender equality, the second suggestion is to improve the male maternity leave system, and the third suggestion is to improve the inclusive childcare service system. It is hoped that it will help women gain equal status, while increasing fertility rates and promoting the rationalization of the gender structure.
