Study On The Influence Of Community Nursing Service On The Life Satisfaction Of The Elderly

With the aging of the Chinese society aggravated,the problems of the shortage of social pension resources and the lower quality of service of pension institutions have become the social attention in recent years.Community home care,as a relatively emerging pension model,is different from the traditional home care and institutional pension that completely relies on pension institutions,but provides part of the pension function through the community,and the elderly still live at home.Under the influence of the miniaturization of social families and the change of family population structure,community home care is a new pension model that not only satisfies the elderly’s dependence on the familiar environment,but also makes up for the lack of traditional family care services,and can better meet the needs of the development of the aging society.This paper selects the data of China’s Aging Social Tracking Survey,which was investigated by Renmin University of China in 2018,to study and analyze the influence of elderly people aged 60 to 100 years old in their community to provide elderly care services and life satisfaction.First,the Ologit model was used as the baseline analysis,and then the explanatory variables were divided into "whether the community provides life care services and spiritual care services" for separate research.It was found that providing spiritual support services had a higher effect on life satisfaction than life care services.Then,we use PSM propensity score matching model to verify the endogeneity of the conclusions.Further,the "mean number of elderly care services provided by the community of the same age" was selected from the upper-level aggregated data as an instrumental variable.The Heckman two-stage treatment effect model was used to correct the errors caused by missing unobservable variables,making the results more robust and reliable.Then,the heterogeneity analysis of the influence effect is carried out to further explore the influence of community provision of elderly care services on life satisfaction.Finally,the mechanism affecting life satisfaction of the elderly is explored.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The elderly care services provided by the community can have a positive impact on the life satisfaction of the elderly;(2)The provision of life care services has a positive impact on the life satisfaction of the elderly;(3)Providing spiritual support for the elderly has a significant pulling effect on life satisfaction of the elderly,and the influence coefficient is higher than that of life care services;(4)Community service mainly affects the life satisfaction of the elderly through influencing their participation in leisure and entertainment activities.(5)The elderly and the elderly who do not cohabit with their spouse are more sensitive to whether to provide community pension services than the elderly and the elderly who cohabit with their spouse.This paper provides data support for policy making and social resource allocation,demonstrates the positive role of community pension,and suggests that community pension services should be rationally allocated to improve the satisfaction of the elderly.
