The "three rural issues" have always been an important issue to which our country attaches great importance and strives to solve. The strategy of revitalizing the countryside raises the priority development of agriculture and rural areas to a new height of national strategy, which is not only another important strategy to crack the "three rural issues" after the construction of new rural areas, but also a major initiative to crack the problem of unbalanced and insufficient development after the change of the main contradictions of our society in the new era.It is also a major initiative to crack the problem of unbalanced and insufficient development after the main contradictions of our society have changed in the new era.Rural finance is the lifeblood of agricultural economy, and the implementation of rural revitalization strategy and the promotion of agricultural modernization require a large amount of capital investment and continuous financial support. At present, the development of rural finance has also become an important aspect to enhance the development of inclusive finance in China, and it is of great theoretical and practical application value to study the relationship between rural finance development and rural revitalization. After combing through the relevant literature, the article defines the core concepts and elaborates the theories related to rural financial development and rural revitalization. From the theoretical perspective, the mechanism of the role of rural financial development on rural revitalization is explored and research hypotheses are proposed. In the empirical part, taking the panel data of 30 provinces(cities)in China from 2011 to2020 as samples, from the policy system of rural revitalization strategy development,on the basis of clarifying the connotation of rural revitalization development, the rural revitalization index system is constructed, the entropy value method is applied to calculate the rural revitalization index as explanatory variables, the scale, structure and efficiency of rural financial development as explanatory variables, and the spatial Durbin model, threshold model to verify the spatial spillover effect and nonlinear influence of China’s rural financial development on rural revitalization, and put forward policy recommendations based on the empirical research results and the existing problems. The main conclusions of this paper are: First, the level of rural financial development and rural revitalization development in all regions of China show a rising trend, but the problem of unbalanced and insufficient development still exists, and the regional differences are obvious.Secondly, there is a demonstration effect of rural revitalization, and provinces with higher development level of rural revitalization have positive promotion effect on the development level of rural revitalization in neighboring provinces.Third, there is a significant correlation between the scale, efficiency and structure of rural financial development and rural revitalization.Among them, the structure of rural financial development has an inhibitory effect on rural revitalization, and the scale and efficiency of rural financial development have a significant and positive direct impact on rural revitalization, with a negative spatial spillover effect.Fourth, when financial support to agriculture is studied as a threshold variable,it is shown that there is a single threshold for rural financial development efficiency on rural revitalization.Policy recommendations are proposed to improve the uneven allocation of rural financial factors, promote the supply-side structural reform of rural finance, and improve the role of policy incentives and regulation.
