With the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,primary school students have more family education time at their disposal,and parents are needed to help their children make reasonable use of their time at home.However,there are still many problems in the management of family education time,especially the lack of ability to manage family education time.It is of great significance to find out the problems existing in parents’ family education time management ability and put forward targeted and reasonable measures to improve parents’ quality and promote home-school collaborative education.This paper uses the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview to investigate the current situation of the family education time management ability of the parents of L primary school in S city.First,the relevant concepts are defined through literature research,and the theoretical basis is "time management theory","anxiety theory" and "expectation theory".Secondly,the questionnaire and interview outline were designed to understand the parents’ family education time management concepts and practices.Then,through the difference analysis and correlation analysis,we test the research hypothesis of parents’ family education time management ability,summarize the problems of parents’ family education time management ability,and analyze the main reasons for the problems.Finally,the paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to improve the ability of parents’ family education time management.The study found that educational anxiety,parent-child relationship,educational concepts,educational activities and educational methods are the five major factors that affect parents’ family education time management ability,and all of them have an important impact on parents’ family education time management ability.There are four major problems in parents’ ability to manage family education time: inadequate and unreasonable management of family education time,random management of family education time,lack of effective plan,monotonous management content and single form,mainly due to parents’ own factors and external environmental factors.This article proposes several suggestions for improvement from the perspective of parents and external subjects.Parents need to establish correct education concepts,improve family education time management awareness,establish reasonable education time and content arrangements,and actively learn to improve family education time management ability;In terms of external related subjects,the school guides parents to strengthen the management of students’ time at home,and the community improves facilities and establishes activities to help parents improve their time management ability.
