| National identity is a necessary condition for patriotism.For youth,national identity is a spiritual motivation for them to work for the development of their country.Young people are the country’s future and the nation’s hope,and the state of their national identity is crucial to the future fate of the country and the nation.However,modernization and globalization provide opportunities and challenges for the construction of the national identity of young people,and the state of the national identity of young people has also attracted much attention.There are various ways to construct national identity,and the new governmental media,as a means to guide public opinion and disseminate mainstream ideology,plays a crucial role in it.To adapt to the development of media technology and the innovation of communication patterns,the new governmental media are actively adjusting their communication and exploring their communication methods and styles to integrate with the youth and obtain a better national identity construction effect.Based on theories of communication and sociology such as construction theory and agenda-setting theory,this paper takes the videos published by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League on the bilibili as the research object and uses the content analysis method to analyse the top 200 videos in terms of information content,video production and emotional expression,in order to explore the content production methods and national identity construction strategies of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League on the bilibili.The study found that the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League constructs and strengthens the national identity of youth through issue setting,changing the discourse system and appealing to emotions.In the study of youth national identity,the 27,273 bullet comments were analysed using textual analysis to explore the unique expression of patriotic discourse and the specific expression of youth national identity in the bullet comments.The study found that video bullet comments became a particular field for youth to express their national identity.The bullet comments in the videos reflected the youth’s identification with the country at three levels: cognitive,emotional,and behavioral.This study combines the innovative communication of governmental new media with the construction of youth national identity,which enriches the theoretical connotation of governmental new media research.Exploring the practice of youth national identity construction in the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League also provides a reference for the future development of other governmental media.This issue of youth national identity,which involves multidisciplinary fields,needs more and more attention at a time when the domestic and international situation is evolving more and more profoundly. |
