Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Social Services In Dongguan L College

As one of the important missions of universities,social service plays an important role in promoting the symbiotic development of universities and society,and has attracted increasing attention.In particular,local science and engineering universities are more closely connected with localities and industries,and the role of service support is more obvious.Dongguan L College,as a new type of local science and engineering university,has achieved some demonstration results in social services,but there are still many problems that need to be discussed and resolved.Therefore,this paper uses literature research method,case study method,interview method and other research methods to study the social service issues of Dongguan L College.This article first summarizes the current situation of Dongguan L College’s social services from four aspects: personnel training,technology services,information services,and cultural services,and then analyzes the problems existing in Dongguan L College’s social services.First,the ability to cultivate students is insufficient;the second is that the level of transformation of scientific and technological achievements is not high;the third is that the role of the “think tank” matrix is not obvious;the fourth is that the degree of serving local characteristic culture is not strong.The main reasons for the problems are as follows: first,there is a deviation in the concept of social services;second,the strength of social services is relatively weak;third,the social service management guarantee system is not perfect;fourth,the government is not strong enough to guide local universities to participate in social services;last,there are differences between the value orientation and ideology of enterprises and local universities.Finally,based on the previous analysis of existing problems and causes,the countermeasures and suggestions for optimizing the social services of Dongguan L College are put forward: first,keep in mind the fundamental mission of social services;second,enhance the endogenous power of social services;third,improve the social service governance system;the fourth is to optimize the social service policy environment.The purpose of this study is to provide a path reference for Dongguan L College and its similar local science and engineering universities to better promote social services,local economic and social development.
