Marx’s thought of community is the theoretical embodiment of Marx’s pursuit of the value of life to realize human freedom and all-round development and obtain human complete liberation. He deeply studied and criticized the "naturally formed community" in pre-capitalist society period and the "false community" in capitalist society period, finally put forward the "real community",pointing out that only the "real community" can realize the free and all-round development of human beings and to obtain the complete liberation of human beings. What is the future of mankind in today’s society? How to deal with the challenges and threats brought about by globalization has become a hot issue of urgent concern to all mankind. The theoretical significance of Marx’s community thought has scientific and important guiding function and far-reaching value purport for the development of today’s society. This paper is divided into four chapters to study and discuss Marx’s community thought.Chapter one explains the concept of community in history and the concept of Marx’s community and traces back to the theoretical roots of Marx’s thought of community. The theoretical source of Marx’s community thought is the ancient Greek city community thought as the source, the German classical philosophy of the community thought as the direct source, and the utopian socialism of the community thought as the guidance of the future.Chapter two combs and analyzes a series of Marx’s relevant works, and summarizes the formation and development process of Marx’s community thought, which can be divided into three stages: the first stage, the germination and preliminary exploration period from his middle school to the German-French Almanac in 1844;The second period of progressive formation was from 1844 to 1848;The third stage is the period of enrichment, development, and perfection from 1848 to the end of his life.Chapter three elaborates the main content of Marx’s thought of community in detail and profoundly.Marx points out that there are three different stages and forms of community by studying the development of human society in different periods. That is,the "naturally formed community" based on the state of human dependence, the "false community" based on the dependence of things, and the "real community" based on the free and comprehensive development of everyone.Chapter four through the relevant research of Marx’s community thought, more highlights its contemporary value, which starts from the perspective of globalization and closely combines with the current social development trend. In the theoretical dimension,it provides theoretical guidance for the reality and future development of human society. On the practical dimension,it is transformed into practice motivation to guide the concrete practice development. In the dimension of method,it provides scientific methods for human to understand and solve practical problems. In the dimension of value pursuit, people will have firm confidence and carry on the practice.
