Rural revitalization is a fundamental strategy concerning the country’s livelihood, and the implementation of this strategy is inseparable from the human element. The requirements of the times of rural revitalization and the reality of aging rural population determine that the main will of rural elderly people should be fully respected and their main status should be brought into play, and it is of great theoretical and practical value to build an endogenous main foundation for rural revitalization.Born, raised and aged in the countryside, rural elderly people have accumulated deep credibility and prestige in the process of production and life over the years, and their authoritative, endogenous and public characteristics can mobilize and organize villagers, thus becoming an endogenous foundation for rural governance. In order to explore the practices and experiences of elderly people’s participation in rural governance, this paper attempts to use field surveys and questionnaires to conduct immersive observations and interviews in TY Village,a provincial civilized village in Wuhu City.Based on collecting a large amount of textual materials and interview materials to elaborate in more detail the main contents of the coordination workshop of the old-timers in TY village, the logic of the participation of the elderly in rural governance is extracted from the governance experience of the coordination workshop of the old-timers.Specifically,the article includes: firstly, the article summarizes and outlines the background, components, practice process, and governance effectiveness of the Old Timers Coordination Studio in relation to the field survey data.Secondly, the article analyzes the "endogenous-link" model of rural governance for the elderly in the Old Timers’ Coordination Workshop based on the available field data, and discusses in detail the connotation, foundation, characteristics, operation mechanism, conditions of application and recommendations for the promotion of the model. This paper discusses the model in detail in terms of its connotation, foundation, characteristics, operation mechanism, conditions of application and suggestions for promotion.Based on several field surveys and the integration of new endogenous development theory and interactive ritual chain theory, this paper refines the "endogenous-linked" model of village elderly participation in rural governance. This model emphasizes the development of endogenous social capital in the countryside, the creation of public space and the reshaping of public spirit by linking mutual concern and emotional energy through rural rituals. The main manifestations are:building a public moral platform, creating a benign interactive situation, shaping a common value symbol and realizing an immersion space for ritual interaction. The "endogenous-link" model relies on the endogenous rural subjects to further gather energy through the cultural logic and operational traditions of rural ritual activities, and the emotional energy in turn acts on the endogenous rural subjects, forming a multi-way interactive cycle, thus projecting an "emotion-interest-value" identity structure in rural society. In this way,a "emotion-interest-value" identity structure is projected in rural society, linking social networks with immersive rural ritual activities, stimulating and coalescing rural endogenous dynamics, thus playing the key linking role of rural "senior citizens" in the rural network pattern and rural "moral governance" link.In this way, they can play a key role in linking the village network pattern and village "moral governance",and thus open up the channel of "lower and upper information" in the village and realize the goal of dispute mediation of "small matters without leaving home and big matters without leaving the village",and work together to build a beautiful village.
