Marx And Engels’ Thought Of Women’s Emancipation And Its Contemporary Value

Although Marx and Engels didn’t have monographs on women’s liberation,many works already contained discussions and thoughts on women’s liberation.Based on the basic principles and scientific methods of dialectical materialism and historical materialism,this paper scientifically analyzes the changes of women’s social status,and tries to explore a way to make women truly free.Marx and Engels’ thoughts on women’s liberation provided important theories and methods for western women’s movement thoughts and women’s liberation in some socialist countries,and had a great influence on women’s liberation movements all over the world.Nowadays,new problems in China in the new era have emerged one after another.Paying attention to women’s development needs and putting equality between men and women into practice still need the important theoretical guidance of Marx and Engels’ women’s emancipation.This paper introduces the social background of Marx and Engels’ women’s liberation thoughts,and explains the development process of their theories based on the analysis of classic works.From the perspective of reading the original works,this paper deeply digs the main viewpoints,theoretical characteristics and methods of Marx and Engels’ women’s liberation thoughts,defines the relevant concepts in its theoretical aspects,and discusses the theoretical sources of western feminism and Marxist feminism,and their differences and connections with Marx and Engels’ women’s liberation thoughts.From the realistic aspect,aiming at the changes in the development process of Chinese women in the new era,this paper makes a deep analysis of the problems and reasons existing in the development of Chinese women in the new era from the aspects of macro theory and policy,micro content and methods,actual situation and deficiencies,etc.,so as to provide theoretical and practical basis for exploring the development of Marxist women’s liberation thought in the new era.From the practical aspect,this paper puts forward the enlightenment of Marx and Engels’women’s liberation thought to contemporary society,and explores the development path of Chinese women in the new era,aiming at the problems of women’s development in the new era.It is considered that the cause of women’s liberation is a long-term historical process.In the process of exploring the road of women’s liberation,it is necessary to combine with the actual situation of Chinese women’s development,and build a theoretical system of socialist women with Chinese characteristics to create opportunities for all-round development of Chinese women.
