With the gradual expansion of mobile Internet online services to cover life services,more and more elderly people begin to use smart phones.Affected by physical function decline,cognitive decline,complicated operation process of smart phones and other factors,the elderly will have a lot of troubles when operating smart phones.In order to help the elderly use smart phones more conveniently,this topic starts from the aging interface to study the usability of smart phones.First of all,in the survey,it was found that the aging interface design could not solve the smartphone use problem of all elderly users.Some elderly people could not use smartphones,and some elderly people were proficient in operating them.These two elderly people could not be regarded as the target users of the study.Therefore,in the interface of the optimum design of ageing research is necessary to classify older users,this topic feature classification method is applied to classify older users,according to the old smartphone users proficiency and related conditions as the classification index,older users can be divided into four categories,the two largest class selection problem when using smartphone users as the target,The design of suitable for aging is improved to solve the problem of using smart phones for some elderly users.Then,a set of usability analysis method for aging interface was constructed by combining potential failure modes with effects analysis(FMEA)and user experience map theory.The elderly often make mistakes when using smart phones,and they fear the bad effects caused by the operation mistakes,so they have a fear of smart phones.FMEA technology can analyze the potential failure mode in the system,improve the fault tolerance rate of the product by reducing the errors that may occur in the process of user operation,and then improve the availability of the product.This topic inviting target users according to the function of the process operation to study,map the user experience will clear intuitive user’s operation process,and accordingly to get the user the potential failure modes in use process,through the analysis of the causes and consequences of potential failure mode design improvement strategy is put forward,according to the strategy for optimal aging design improvement.Finally,select the elderly commonly used typical APP We Chat as a case to carry on the design practice,adopt the way of questionnaire survey to obtain research function,invite target older users to study the function of the operation,map operation process of user experience,analysis of potential failure modes in the process of operation,according to the result of analysis and design improvement,To verify the validity of the constructed usability analysis method.In this paper,the aging friendly interface of smart phone is designed and studied,and a set of usability analysis method is constructed,which provides a new research idea for the improvement of aging friendly interface of mobile phone application.
