Investigation And Research On Legal Information Service Of Public Library In China

With the rapid development of information technology makes the number of information show an "explosive" growth,the massive information resources are uneven,and the pirated content is rampant,which requires citizens to have a certain legal awareness.For information producers,they should have the awareness of copyright protection of their own information content,so as to safeguard their own interests in a legitimate and effective way and protect their own rights and interests when they are infringed.For information consumers,they should also have a certain sense of copyright and respect the fruits of others’ labor.However,from the current situation of legal cognition of Chinese citizens,there is still great room for improvement.As an important force in social public service,public libraries have played an important role in accelerating the development process of legal system in China,and have gradually become an important publicity carrier for the whole people to know the law.According to the research,this research shows that the legal information services of most public libraries in China are still in the exploration stage,and the service form is mainly borrowing guidance and information consultation,and the service content provided fails to meet the legal information needs of readers.Through the improvement and optimization of legal information services,public libraries are expected to further improve the legal literacy of the whole people on the basis of upgrading their own services,and maintain a good and healthy environment of knowing,understanding,law abiding and usage,which is of great significance to promote the construction and development of legal society.This study first analyzes the current research status and results of the legal information service of public libraries at home and abroad through the literature analysis method,And to study and analyze China’s existing laws and policies represented by the rule of law,Then,through the telephone visit,network survey method and questionnaire survey method,the selected 63 strong representative public libraries,including national libraries,were analyzed and investigated,Fully understand the legal information service needs of domestic users,In addition,the development characteristics,current situation and development problems of public libraries in China,public welfare legal consultation and legal branch library setting are sorted out,In the policy context of the rule of law policy,The significance of constructing and optimizing the legal information service system of public libraries.Finally,according to the current situation of legal information service,the main problem of legal information service is low,the publicity,the legal database is insufficient,the staff training,and some relatively mature service experience in public library legal information service,and from the way,content and form of legal information service.
