Abstract/Summary:
At the beginning of the founding of New China, the first generation of the central leadership group, with Comrade Mao Zedong as the core, began to explore the road of health governance with Chinese characteristics and created the "Chinese model" of "obtaining the greatest health benefits with the least investment".In response to the urgent health problems in new China,Mao Zedong,as the founder and builder of new China, put forward a series of new ideas, new perspectives and new methods on how to carry out health governance in China, carried out all-round health governance actions, and formed a health governance concept with Chinese characteristics. This paper conducts a theoretical study of Mao’s concept of health governance and explains the contemporary value of this thesis in the context of the new era.The paper focuses on five aspects of the study. The introduction section: it explains the background and significance of the topic of Mao Zedong’s view of health governance and its contemporary value, the current situation of domestic and foreign research and research review, the main content and main methods of the study, and the innovations and shortcomings of the study, and provides logical ideas for the later research writing. The first chapter traces the theoretical origin and practical foundation of Mao’s view of health governance, and clarifies the theoretical roots of the emergence and development of Mao’s view of health governance. The theoretical origin and practical foundation of Mao’s view of health governance include three main aspects: first, the inheritance and development of the thoughts on life and health in the excellent Chinese traditional culture;second, the enrichment and development of the important thoughts on health issues by classical Marxist writers;and third, the summary of experience related to health work during the revolutionary war period. These theoretical resources together constitute the ideological origin of Mao Zedong’s concept of health governance. The second chapter is a combing and analysis of the formation and development of Mao’s view of health governance.Based on the documentary analysis and research of available materials, the development history of Mao’s view of health governance is divided into three historical stages: the national view of health during the New Culture Movement, the health and hygiene view during the revolutionary base period, and the health governance view after the founding of New China.Chapter 3 summarizes the main contents of Mao’s view of health governance, proposing that the governance purpose of "all for the people’s health" is the value of Mao’s view of health governance;clarifying that "prevention is the main focus" is the guiding principle of Mao’s view of health governance;emphasizing the governance method of collaborative governance and the governance mode of participation of multiple subjects.Chapter 4 reveals Mao’s concept of health governance.Chapter 4 reveals the contemporary value of Mao’s view of health governance. The theoretical contributions of Mao Zedong’s view of health governance and the practical revelations of Mao’s view of health governance for the promotion of health governance in China are elaborated, and the historical experience of Mao’s view of health governance is summarized, which can provide methodological guidance and experience for the promotion of high-quality development of the construction of a healthy China, the construction of a modernized health governance system and governance capacity, and the sustainable development of the patriotic health movement.
