Research On The Service Work Of Veterans Under The New System

In April 2018,after the establishment of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs,it comprehensively integrated the functions of the Ministry of Civil Affairs "preferential care and resettlement" and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security "military transfer and resettlement",and for the first time established the system of professional management of the affairs of veterans by specialized administrative agencies.In 2021,China’s first special law in the field of veterans affairs,the Law on the Protection of Veterans,was implemented,established the general outline of the security work for vererans,promotes the transformation of the laws and relevant regulations of veterans from fragmented fragmentation to systematization,and puts the protection of rights and interests on the track of legalization and standardization.The above two measures systematically build a new security system for veterans.Every change in the management and security system of veterans will inevitably bring new changes in the management and service of veterans.Veterans affairs involve various aspects,ranging from the impact on national social stability,national defense,and military construction,to the personal and family well-being of veterans,which can be summarized as management,service,and support work.This study is based on the establishment of the new system for the management,service,and support of veterans,focusing on the effectiveness of serving and supporting veterans since the establishment of Q Bureau of Veterans Affairs.Using research methods such as questionnaire surveys and semi-structured interviews,a stratified and classified survey was conducted on the development of service work for veterans in Q City,in order to understand the current status of service work for veterans,Analyze the current situation of service for veterans in Q based on survey data,and explore the challenges and causes they face.As a newly established government department,the functional institutions related to the affairs of veterans have completed government-sponsored institution transferred,and the service organization system has basically formed;All work and functions were carried out smoothly,and a series of new work,such as employment and entrepreneurship,rights and interests protection,was carried out steadily;The working force has been strengthened day by day;Social forces have actively participated in the service and security work of veterans and created a good atmosphere of supporting and loving the army in the whole society.However,compared to the objective reality of the rapidly developing economy and society,as well as the current demand for veterans,there are still many problems in the current service work of the veterans:the strength of the veterans affairs department is weak,the service function is weakened,and the participation of social forces is insufficient.In response to the specific situation and problems mentioned above,the study analyzed the causes of the above problems from the perspective of integrating theory with practice,and proposed several reasonable suggestions for improving and enhancing the service work of veterans in Q City.
