Recent years,juvenile delinquency has been more and more serious,becoming the third public hazard in the world.According to the data released by the Supreme Procuratorate in the“white paper on juvenile prosecution(2014-2019)”,juveniles suspected of six kinds crimes accounted for more than 80% of all minor offenders.And theft crime-involved juveniles took the largest number.It not only devastated juveniles and families,but also endangered the society.Therefore,conducting a series of effective correction education measures to this kind of minors has become more and more important.Taking Y,a theft crime-involved minors in district A of Jiangxi Province,as a survey object,the author summarized some effective correction education measures.Literature research,Interview method and observation method were used to collect information.The author used social ecosystem theory to carry out social investigation,explored the causes of crime by talking with Y and his parent.The result showed that there existed 5 kinds of problems,including low awareness of law,poor family relationship,changing jobs frequently,making friends carelessly and gambling addiction.In order to improve his problem-solving abilities and to expand his social support networks,author planed 6 targeted activities by using empowerment theory and social support theory,including enhancing his legal consciousness,fixing family relationship,formulating long-term career plans,establishing positive peer relations,quitting gambling and reinforcing effects.According to a comprehensive evaluation by the juvenile,his parent and social worker,the author found that the social work intervention in non-prosecution juvenile was accessible and effective.It could not only help him to correct misconducts and fix family ties,but also help him to rebuild normal life order and go back to society successfully.Based on the reflection on practice,following suggestions were proposed to improve the correction education system.Problem awareness should be intensified by social workers.The parenting patterns should be changed.More socialization methods should be explored.The education from school should be emphasized.Public recognition of judicial social work should be raised.Much importance should be attached to low-aged offenders’ correction.Professional team construction should be emphasized.It is hoped that an effective correction education system of crime-involved minors can be established in this way.
