Research On Supply And Demand Of Long-Term Care Services For The Elderly In Xinxiang City

Since the 21 st century,with the improvement of economic and technological level,many serious social problems have gradually emerged,such as the aging of the population structure,the declining birthrate,and the gradual shrinking of the family structure.Coupled with the gradual increase in the number of elderly people with disabilities,dementia and chronic diseases,It will be very difficult to meet the long-term care service needs of the elderly in the future only by relying on pension insurance that does not make periodic financial compensation until a certain age and medical insurance that pays a one-time compensation after seeking medical treatment.Therefore,how to solve the huge demand for long-term care services and the problem of service costs has become a difficult problem for the government that our country has to face.In order to meet the long-term care service needs of the elderly and solve the problem of supply and demand of long-term care services,this paper selects Xinxiang City,which has a relatively serious aging degree,as the research area.The current situation of supply and demand of long-term care services in this city was analyzed by means of literature research,field interviews,and questionnaire surveys.It mainly includes the contradiction between the low awareness rate of long-term care service knowledge and the underutilization of some resources,the contradiction between the insufficient supply and allocation of long-term care service resources and the large demand for elderly services,and the relationship between low-quality long-term care services and the elderly.The contradiction between people’s needs for high-quality services.The analysis found that the main reasons for these contradictions were insufficient publicity of knowledge related to long-term care services,single financing channels in the long-term care service market,unreasonable investment in government resources,inadequate operation supervision,irregular training of nursing staff,and insufficient training.On this basis,the article puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problem of supply and demand of long-term care services in Xinxiang City,including multi-channel publicity of long-term care service knowledge,changing the traditional concept of the elderly;strengthening the construction of long-term care services;improving the management measures of long-term care services,ensure the healthy development of the long-term care service market;increase the training of professional nursing personnel,standardize the training of nursing personnel,etc.,In order to solve the actual supply and demand of long-term care services in Xinxiang City in a targeted manner,it can effectively meet the long-term care service needs of the elderly and achieve a balance between supply and demand in the long-term care service market in Xinxiang City.
