The “Rheinische Zeitung” period is the first stage of Marx’s ideological change and the starting point of Marx’s transformation to Materialism and Communism. At present, there are still many debates in the academic circles around the "two transformations" of Marx’s thought in this period. And there is still a lack of research on the path of Marx’s thought transformation in the “Rheinische Zeitung”period. So it leaves a large space for future research. In addition to the introduction, this paper consists of four parts:The first part mainly combs the social and theoretical background of the formation of Marx’s thought in his youth.During this period, the cruel political oppression of the kingdom of Prussia and the slow development of German capitalism promoted the gradual rise of the liberal democratic movement.Ideologically, the thoughts of Enlightenment and Utopian Socialism spread rapidly in Germany.Hegel’s philosophy gradually disintegrated with Hegel’s death, while the influence of the Young Hegelians aimed at criticizing religion and politics gradually expanded.Such a background has a subtle influence on Marx, who is still in his youth. The second part is to study the evolution process of "Two Transformations" in Marx’s thought during the “Rheinische Zeitung”period, and clarify the practical reasons for the transformation of Marx’s thought. In the process of political criticism in the“Rheinische Zeitung”period,Marx found that the state and law do not follow their internal rational principles, but are always dominated by the objective relationship based on material interests. Therefore,he began to doubt Hegel’s rationalist view of state, and began to fall into "distressed doubt",which prompted him to continue his research along the problem of how to realize human freedom under the control of material interests, and gradually turned to materialism.Under the influence of Hess,in the debate with the general summary,Marx began to pay attention to the development of Popular Communism in Europe and found the proletariat with nothing.Since then,he began to think and comment unconsciously from the standpoint of the poor people. All this laid the foundation for his shift to communism. The third part discusses the specific path of Marx’s ideological development in the“Rheinische Zeitung”period. That is,the path of people’s subject, the path of practice and the path of material interests. These are the three clues for Marx’s thought to turn to materialism and communism, and have been extended to the development process of Marx’s thought after he withdrew from the editorial department of Rhine. The fourth part examines the theoretical significance and contemporary value of the "two transformations" of Marx’s thought in the “Rheinische Zeitung”period. In the theoretical sense,Marx’s thought in this period constitutes the starting point of Marx’s early ideological transformation, provides preparation for turning to materialism and communism, and is also the starting point of moving towards historical materialism. The ideological change process of Marx in this period provides guidance for building a socialist modern power, which not only enlightens us to adhere to the people-centered in the process of system construction, but also adhere to the principle of combining theory with practice, and protect the material interests of the people.
