Research On The Green Development From The Perspective Of Marx And Engels’ View Of Nature

With global warming,ecological problems have become a common challenge to the whole world.Due to the early development of western industrial civilization,the ecological crisis has also been exposed.The international community has held many international conferences on environmental protection and economic growth to explore the ways of “green development”.“green development” has gradually become the theme of the development of all countries.After reform and opening-up,China’s economy has made a leap forward,and the people’s living standards have greatly improved.But it has also brought about serious environmental and resource difficulties,restricting economic and social development.The Chinese Communists have profound insights into the general trend of economic and social development at home and abroad,combining Marx and Engels’ view of nature with the reality of China’s economic and social development,and with the ancient Chinese ecological philosophy.It has been proposed that China’s economic and social development should be transformed to green direction and take the path of green and low-carbon development.The purpose of green development,fundamentally speaking,is to achieve harmony between humanity and nature.In 2015,the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18 th Communist Party of China Central Committee introduced a new concept of pursuing “innovative,coordinated,green,open and shared development”,elevating green development to a national strategy height for the first time.The 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has also put forward “promoting green development”.The core of green development is to meet the ecological requirements of people,achieving the unity of economic development and ecological environment protection.Green development has a profound domestic and foreign background,which is not only the inevitable requirement of complying with the general trend of world development,but also based on the objective requests of China’s economic and social development and transformation.At the same time,green development has a profound ideological and cultural origin too.That is,Marx and Engels’ view of nature for its theoretical basis,ancient Chinese ecological philosophy for its cultural gene,and the ecological thoughts of Chinese communists is its direct source.Advancing green development means achieving a profound revolution in outlook on development,promoting the formation of eco-friendly modes of production and ecofriendly ways of life,improving the ecological civilization institutional system,and elevating civility in the public sphere.In the new era,China’s promotion of green development has theoretically enriched the theoretical system of Marxism and the thought of socialist ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics;in practice,China’s green development has promoted the Beautiful China initiative,demonstrating the wisdom of the Chinese Communists in governing the country and providing a new paradigm for global ecological governance.
