Xi Jinping’s Important Discussion On Rural Revitalization

Five thousand years of historical experience in China tells us that "farmers are the foundation of the state,and peace can be discussed at the beginning of the state".Properly dealing with issues concerning agriculture,rural areas and farmers is the guarantee of lasting peace and stability of the country.In 2020,China made major achievements in poverty alleviation,and rural revitalization was put on the agenda.General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that "after the victory in poverty alleviation,rural revitalization will be comprehensively promoted,which is a historic shift in the work related to agriculture,rural areas and farmers." Why rural revitalization? Revitalize what? How to achieve rural revitalization? General Secretary Xi Jinping has delivered important speeches on the above issues on many important occasions and at different times,constituting an important discussion of Rural revitalization.This paper uses literature research method and historical analysis method to study and discuss the formation basis,development process,main content,theoretical characteristics and important significance of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on rural revitalization,in order to provide theoretical guidance and value follow for promoting rural revitalization and solving "agriculture,rural areas and farmers" problems in the new development stage.The paper is divided into an introduction and five chapters.The introduction part introduces the research background and significance,summarizes and reviews the research status of domestic and foreign scholars on rural revitalization,and expounds the research methods,key points and difficulties as well as innovations of the paper.The first chapter discusses the formation basis of Xi Jinping’s important discussion on rural revitalization.The rural development thought of marxist classical writers and the rural development theory of Chinese Communists are its theoretical sources.Xi Jinping’s important discussion on rural revitalization is also formed on the basis of a series of achievements made in China’s rural work since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and responses to realistic challenges.At the same time,the thought of emphasizing agriculture in traditional culture also has an important influence on Xi’s important discussion of rural revitalization.The second chapter analyzes the formation and development process of Xi Jinping’s important discussion on rural revitalization.Based on Xi Jinping’s political experience in Zhengding,Fujian,Zhejiang and the Central Government,this paper discusses the formation and development process of Xi Jinping’s important discussion on rural revitalization from germination,perfection and maturity to enrichment,and makes clear the internal logical relationship of its theory in one line.The third chapter illustrates the main content of the important discussion on rural revitalization.According to the theoretical logic of "why revitalization","what revitalization" and "how revitalization",the main content of Xi Jinping’s important discussion on rural revitalization is divided into three parts: the necessity,the central task and the realization path of rural revitalization.Starting from the significance of rural revitalization to the people,the country and the nation,the central task of rural revitalization is defined as the revitalization of industry,talent,culture,ecology and organization,and the realization of rural revitalization is discussed from three aspects of promoting agricultural development,promoting rural construction,and ensuring the livelihood of farmers.The fourth chapter analyzes the main characteristics of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on rural revitalization.The main characteristics are embodied in three unities,namely,the unity of scientific nature and advanced nature,the unity of nationality and world nature,and the unity of inheritance and innovation.The fifth chapter summarizes the value implications of Xi Jinping’s important discussion on rural revitalization from both theoretical and practical levels.At the theoretical level,Xi Jinping’s important discussion on rural revitalization enriches and develops Marxist thought on rural development,enriches and improves Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,and serves as a guide for rural development in the new era.On the practical level,Xi Jinping’s important discussion on rural revitalization provides practical guidance for improving the imbalance between urban and rural development in China and doing a good job in rural work,and provides Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions for other countries to solve rural problems.
