Research On The Public Welfare Crowdfunding Of Community Under The Perspective Of Structural Functionalism

Venture philanthropy was introduced into my country at the beginning of this century,and the developed cities along the eastern coast took the lead in actively exploring and forming a VC model with Chinese characteristics.Today,venture philanthropy has become an important way for my country to promote the development of public welfare undertakings and innovate social governance.However,currently,the practice of community venture philanthropy in our country generally has the dilemma of single funding channels,limited government funding,insufficient resource integration,and fewer participants.Community philanthropy crowdfunding is an innovative model of philanthropy explored in the practice of community governance in Hubei Province,and it has been promoted throughout the province in 2017.Under this model,the community’s non-governmental resources have been effectively integrated,the participation motivation and ability of community residents funding channels,limited government funding,insufficient resource integration,and fewer participants in the process of operation..Community philanthropy crowdfunding is an innovative model of philanthropy explored in the practice of community governance in Hubei Province,and it has been promoted throughout the province in 2017.Under this model,the community’s non-governmental resources are effectively identified and integrated,the participation motivation and ability of community residents and community social organizations have been significantly improved,and the community’s public welfare atmosphere has gradually become stronger.which makes up for the shortcomings of my country’s community venture philanthropy and promotes community society The development of the organization and the promotion of public welfare services.Talcott Parsons,a representative of structural functionalism,believes that any system is composed of several sub-systems with different functions.These sub-systems are interconnected in an orderly manner and each play a role to ensure the stability of the overall system.The stable operation of the system needs to meet four functional conditions,namely the "A-G-I-L" paradigm,which provides a theoretical basis for the research of this article.The author studied the practice of cultivating and developing philanthropy for public welfare projects led by the Chinese government by consulting the literature,and found that many practical dilemmas faced in the practice of this model are reflected in the lack of system functional conditions from the perspective of structural functionalism.Through surveys and interviews and analysis of the projects of Ezhou City L community participating in the 6th Hubei Venture Philanthropy Competition,to understand the specific practical process of community public welfare crowdfunding in L community,the author once again based on the perspective of structural functionalism,the community public welfare crowdfunding As a system,the analysis shows that this system includes six elements:government,residents committee,community social organization,professional social work technology,participation system and incentive system,and public welfare culture.Give full play to its functions,so that the functional conditions of the community public welfare crowdfunding system are improved compared with the government-led public welfare project cultivation and development philanthropy investment system.Finally,the author concludes that community public welfare crowdfunding is based on the original philanthropy investment model,through the improvement of internal structure,adjustment of element functions,and finally formed a new philanthropy investment model with mutual coordination,clear division of labor,and standardized procedures.In this model,under the government’s policy guidance and financial support,the overall coordination of community neighborhood committees,and the value of public welfare culture,community social organizations rely on professional work skills to manage teams,establish participation systems and incentive systems,and build resource crowdfunding platforms.Mobilizing the participation of other social entities in the community in order to obtain the community’s private resources has solved to a certain extent the problems of single funding channels,limited government funding,and insufficient resource integration that are common in my country’s venture philanthropy.In view of this,the author believes that the successful practice of community philanthropy crowdfunding provides a reference for the development and innovation of community venture philanthropy,and is a new direction for the development of community venture philanthropy in my country.
