Publicity and ideological work is an extremely important task for the party.The generation and development of its concept is a dynamic process of historical evolution.In the different historical development stages of the Chinese Communist Party’s revolution,construction,and reform,the concept of publicity and ideological work has gradually enriched and improved with the party’s central work and historical practice activities,and gradually formed a concept system with profound connotations.This article takes the publicity and ideological work practice of the Communist Party of China in different historical periods as the main clue,and systematically combs and theoretically analyzes the generation and evolution of the concept of publicity and ideological work since the founding of the Communist Party of China.The article is based on the grand background of the practice of publicity and ideological work of the Communist Party of China,dividing it into different stages.We put emphasis on examining the evolution of the connotation of publicity and ideological work in the vertical historical context.The concept of publicity in the modern sense was born in the early 20 th century,and gradually established with the revolutionary practice of saving the country and defending national rights.As a glorious tradition of the party,publicity and ideological work has played a significant role in all periods of the Communist Party’s revolution,construction,and reform.Judging from the generation and development of the concept of the publicity and ideological work,before the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the concept began to have political and ideological connotations,with obvious characteristics of propaganda and agitation.After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the party started a new exploration of publicity and ideological work under the conditions of full administration,forming an integrated publicity system,and theoretical arming,ideological transformation and cultural construction have become important parts of the party ’s publicity and ideological work.The basic characteristics of publicity and ideological work are mainly manifested as overall,regular,and systematic,as well as tightly centering on the party’s central work.Since the reform and opening up,the party’s publicity and ideological work environment has changed from closed to open,Concepts such as"ideological and political work”,"socialist spiritual civilization" are important components of the concept of publicity and ideological work.After the change of different conceptual forms,the concept of "publicity and ideological work" has gradually been fixed,and its content has been continuously expanded and deepened.During this period,this concept embarked on the path of institutionalization,scientization,and standardization,and increasingly had cultural characteristics.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the concept of publicity and ideological work in the Communist Party of China has undergone all-round innovation and development in terms of status,basic fields,missions,and basic principles.It has the basic characteristics of institutionalization,innovation,initiative,and wholeness.Throughout the development of the concept of the publicity and ideological work of the Communist Party of China,it can be seen that the development trend is mainly manifested in the following: in the field of work,it gradually expands to the field of ideology and culture;in the way of work,the upper and lower interactive publicity is more prominent;on the carrier of work,the depth of media integration is gradually expanded;in the effect of work,it is continuously deepened to the level of people’s ideological value.The generation and development of the party’s publicity and ideological work concept also provides important inspiration for the current practice.It should always adhere to the party’s overall leadership of publicity and ideological work,always adhere to the people-centered work orientation,and always adhere to the The basic responsibilities of the center and the overall service,and have always been to keep pace with the times,regard reform and innovation as an inexhaustible driving force,and promote the party’s publicity and ideological work to open up a new development situation under new historical conditions.
