Some studies show that the middle school students in our country are under more academic pressure.Due to the difficulty and intensity of their studies in high school,which is far greater than that in junior high school,it is bound to increase the academic pressure of freshmen in senior high school,causing problems such as insomnia.Previous studies have shown that academic stress,sleep quality and time management inclination may be closely related to these three variables,but whether time management inclination moderates the relationship between academic stress and sleep quality has not been determined.When discussing the relationship between time management tendency and sleep quality,the previous literature focuses on college students,and rarely studies freshmen in senior high school.In terms of the intervention of time management tendency,previous studies mainly chose the form of group intervention to college students,junior high school students and teachers,and lack of empirical research on the intervention of mental health activity class on the time management tendency of freshmen in senior one.The purpose of this study was to understand the status quo of sleep quality,time management tendency and academic stress of freshmen in senior high school,and to examine the possible moderating role of time management tendency.On this basis,an intervention scheme of mental health activity class with time management inclination as its main content is designed to test whether the course can improve students’ time management inclination and improve sleep quality.This study can be divided into two parts: In the first study,674 freshmen from H Middle School were selected as the subjects,and the questionnaire was conducted by selecting the Adolescent Time Management Tendency Scale,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and the Academic Stressors of Middle School Students.After data analysis,the following results were obtained:(1)The overall academic pressure of freshmen in senior high school is at a low level.There are significant differences in the academic pressure of freshmen in senior high school in the direction of major,the self-development pressure,frustration pressure and the total score of academic pressure of students majoring in history are significantly higher than those of students majoring in physics,but there is no significant difference in gender,whether the only child or not,the educational level of parents and the place of domicile.(2)Freshman time management tendency is at a high level.There are significant differences in the time management inclination of freshmen in senior one in terms of gender,domicile location and parents’ educational level,girls are better than boys,students whose domicile location is urban are better than rural students,students whose parents’ educational level is above middle school/technical secondary school are better than students whose parents’ educational level is below middle school/technical secondary school,but there is no significant difference in major direction and whether they are the only child.(3)The sleep quality of freshmen in senior high school is generally poor,and the students with sleep problems account for about52.8%.The sleep quality of freshmen in senior one has significant differences in gender and major direction,the sleep quality of boys is worse than that of girls,the sleep quality of students majoring in history is worse than that of students majoring in physics,but there is no significant difference in the place of residence,the educational level of parents and whether they are the only child.(4)There is a significant correlation between academic pressure,time management tendency and sleep quality.There was a significant positive correlation between academic stress and sleep quality,and a significant negative correlation between time management inclination and sleep quality,academic stress and time management inclination.(5)The time management tendency of freshman in high school plays a moderating role in the relationship between academic stress and sleep quality.In the second study,on the basis of the first study,a mental health activity course program was developed to interfere with students’ time management tendency,and whether the course could effectively improve the sleep quality of freshmen in senior high school was investigated.The mental health activity class lasts for one and a half months,with a total of 6 class hours.Two natural classes with the same time management tendency and sleep quality as well as demographic variables were selected.A total of 114 freshmen in high school were selected as subjects,divided into experimental group and control group.The scores of these students’ time management tendency and sleep quality before and after receiving intervention were tested.The results show that: The mental health activity class with time management tendency as the main content can effectively improve the time management tendency of freshmen in high school,so as to improve their sleep quality.Finally,according to the above research results,educational suggestions are put forward from three aspects: reducing academic pressure,improving the level of time management tendency and improving sleep quality.
