This article focuses on the modern Chinese response "Shuo shen me ne".It is frequently used in daily communication,mainly to express negative meanings.The discourse distribution is relatively wide,and in the long-term use process,it has produced rich pragmatic functions and strong subjectivity.Based on a large number of dialogue corpus,the full text,under the research framework of conversation analysis theory,subjectivism theory,interactive linguistics and other theories,conducts a more comprehensive and systematic investigation of the nature,discourse distribution,conversation function,evolution mechanism and formation motivation of this response,and strives to make an objective explanation and enrich the research of Chinese response.This article is mainly divided into six chapters:The first chapter is an introduction.This article introduces the research object and significance of this article,summarizes the current research status of response language at home and abroad,and explains the research methods and corpus sources used.The second chapter is the components and characteristics analysis of "Shuo shen me ne".First of all,we analyzed the internal components of "Shuo shen me ne" and "Shuo" can be replaced by other verbs,which has a connecting function;"shen me" means negation,with a high degree of emptiness;"ne" is a modal particle to help express meaning.Secondly,we specifically described the syntactic,pragmatic,and prosodic features of "Shuo shen me ne".Pragmatic features include indirect negation,flexibility,and derivability.The third chapter is an examination of the discourse distribution and interpersonal environment of "Shuo shen me ne".There are three types of discourse distribution of "Shuo shen me ne" :(1)positional distribution within the response,which can be located at the beginning,middle,end,and independent use of the response;(2)The type of trigger sentence;(3)Follow up sentences with or without questions.The interpersonal environment is mainly divided into two categories based on the different identity relationships between participants: equal status of both parties in communication and unequal status of both parties in communication.The fourth chapter is an analysis of the conversational function of "Shuo shen me ne".As a response language,"Shuo shen me ne" has the functions of negation and statement in different contexts,as well as other derivative functions of expressing surprise,dissuasion,irony,warning,and derogation."Shuo shen me ne" also has an impact on the organization of topics,with the functions of emphasizing topics,changing topics,continuing topics,and ending topics.The fifth chapter is an exploration of the evolutionary path,mechanism,and motivation of "Shuo shen me ne".We mainly investigated the development and evolution of "Shuo shen me ne" in different periods from a diachronic perspective,and explored its formation trajectory from a synchronic perspective,including from questioning to rhetorical questions,rhetorical questions to negation,and negation to response clauses.The response language "Shuo shen me ne" undergoes a process of idiomatic evolution,with pragmatic inference as the evolution mechanism,subjectivization,interactive subjectification,and economic principles as the formation motivation.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.It summarizes the research content of this article,draws the main conclusions,illustrates the innovation and shortcomings of this study,and provides ideas for further research.
