The Supplement Of Morning News And The Construction Of Modern Chinese Children’s Literature (1919-1928)

In the history of the development of modern Chinese children’s literature,the twenties belong to the construction period of modern Chinese children’s literature.In this construction process,the Supplement of Morning News,as an important medium in the“May 4th” period,played an extremely important role.This paper takes the children’s literature in the Supplement of Morning News from February 1919 to June 1928 as the research object,and explores the contribution of the supplement to the construction of modern Chinese children’s literature from three aspects: theoretical criticism,translation and introduction of foreign literature,and the organization and creation of Chinese children’s literature.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter examines the relationship between the Supplement of Morning News and modern Chinese children’s literature from theoretical and critical perspectives.The Supplement of Morning News published a number of discussion articles on children’s literature theory,among which the theoretical articles of Zuoren Zhou,Jingshen Zhao,Shengtao Ye and others were the most representative.These articles focus on children’s views and children’s literature,confirm and emphasize the "child-oriented" view of children and the concept of children’s literature created for children.With academic rebuttal and discussion,it has continuously promoted the construction of modern Chinese children’s literature theory.The second chapter discusses the relationship between the Supplement of Morning News and modern Chinese children’s literature from the perspective of foreign literary translation.The translation of children’s literature from outside the region in the Supplement of Morning News involves different genres such as fairy tales,stories,novels,poems and plays,showing rich and diverse translation characteristics.The review of extraterritorial children’s literature includes the translation of extraterritorial children’s literature review and the review of extraterritorial children’s literature,which echoes the translation of extraterritorial children’s literature and provides readers with sufficient and extensive extraterritorial children’s literature resources.The third chapter explores the relationship between the Supplement of Morning News and modern Chinese children’s literature from the perspective of the organization and creation of Chinese children’s literature.The Supplement of Morning News collects and organizes many elements of traditional literary works suitable for children,including songs,stories and other different genres.In addition,the Supplement of Morning News also opened a special column "Children’s World" to provide a special publishing platform for the creation of modern Chinese children’s literature,and published a number of original works of modern Chinese children’s literature of epochal significance,which is of great significance.
