A Study On The Bronzes Of The State Of Deng In The Zhou Dynasty

The State of Deng was an important vassal state during the Zhou Dynasty and an important barrier for the Zhou Dynasty in the southern region.By the early Spring and Autumn period,the State of Deng was occupied by the State of Chu and operated as Northern border for nearly four centuries.It is of great academic significance to conduct a comprehensive study of the bronzes of the Deng Kingdom during the Zhou Dynasty to explore the relevant history of the period.Therefore,this paper takes the Zhou Dynasty Deng Kingdom bronzes unearthed and handed down by archaeological excavations as the main research object,and mainly studies them from four aspects.The first is to use the related excavated written materials to study the history and geography of the Deng Kingdom during the Zhou Dynasty.The second is to use the typological method to analyze the type of Deng Kingdom bronzes,and compare them with bronzes from other regions to periodically break the period,and analyze the change law of bronzes through the arrangement of the ornaments and era characteristics of the artifacts.Third,taking the tomb with a relatively complete combination of bronze containers in the tomb of Deng Kingdom as the research object,the combination of bronze containers of Deng Kingdom at each stage of the Zhou Dynasty was analyzed,and its characteristics were found by comparing with the combination of bronze containers in tombs in the Central Plains,and the situation of burial bronze containers in the tombs was analyzed,and the system to the Ding system was discussed.The fourth is to analyze the bronze inscriptions of Deng Kingdom,first classifying the content of the inscriptions;secondly,interpret the content of the inscription;Finally,the writing style of inscription is analyzed to explore its writing characteristics.
