The Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature launched in 2018 is a continuation of the tradition of Chinese ancient official books in the field of folk literature,following the three collections of Chinese folk literature compiled by the organization in the 1980 s.The project is aimed at compiling a series of folk literature and was initiated at the national level with the participation of people from all walks of life.The process of compiling a large collection of Chinese folk literature is a collaborative one,and the text is the product of consultation and construction among multiple subjects.Using the perspective of sociology of knowledge,this study focuses on the different subjects in this knowledge production process and the communication and interaction between them,and presents the production process of the texts of the Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature,hoping to answer the question of knowledge production in Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature.The knowledge production emphasized in this paper refers to the specific "knowledge" jointly produced by multiple subjects such as the Chinese Folklore Artists Association,university scholars,local cultural workers,editors,folklore narrators and collectors in this compilation process.The materialized form of this specific "knowledge" is the oral folk literature,which is presented in written form in the series of Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature after the textualization process under the background of the publication project of the Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature.This paper also uses the theories of literary sociology to analyze this textualized Chinese folk literature in order to echo the essence of knowledge construction of multiple subjects.The main structure of this paper is as follows:First,the introductory section describes the origin,purpose,and significance of this study,followed by an overview of relevant studies on textualization and folklore codification,and finally,the research methods used in this study are described.The first chapter focuses on the question of the "where to come from" of the Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature,discusses how it inherited the tradition of ancient official books and its relationship with the three collections of Chinese folk literature,and discusses the "holistic dynamics" and "differential dynamics" embodied by the state and other multiple subjects of this project.The second chapter discusses the "holistic dynamics" and "differential dynamics" of this project.The second chapter analyzes the Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature texts from the perspectives of "storytellers" and "storywriters",the former pointing to the daily practitioners of folklore,i.e.,the people themselves;the latter pointing to a group of scholars from universities,local cultural workers and editors.The former refers to the daily practitioners of folklore,that is,the people themselves;the latter refers to the group of writers composed of university scholars,local cultural workers and editors.It is under the negotiation and co-construction of different subjects that the texts of the Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature are produced.The third chapter analyzes the dynamic textualization process from "speaking" to "writing" in the Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature,and discusses the communication and game process among different subjects in this process.Finally,the production mechanism of Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature texts is clarified.The fourth chapter focuses on the question of the "where to go" of the Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature,discusses the value and significance of the Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature from the perspective of unity and difference,and discusses the production process of the Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature and the problems arising from its texts.Finally,the conclusion and discussion section,based on the description and analysis of the production process and textual structure of the Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature,clarifies the nature of the knowledge co-construction of multiple subjects,and explains how it innovatively inherits the ancient official books and the three collections of Chinese folk literature,as well as how we should look at the post era of the Treasury of Chinese Folk Literature.
