Through reading Marx’s literature,it is not difficult to find that education has been the object of Marx’s long-term concern,both at the theoretical level and in the practical level.The exploration of educational issues runs through Marx’s lifelong academic pursuit.Although no monograph on education has been preserved by Marx,returning to the original study of Marxist philosophical thought,through reading and sorting out the original works of Marx’s literature,it can be seen that Marx has formed a systematic and complete educational thought.Marx’s educational thought contains rich philosophical connotations,which are the key to understanding Marx’s educational thought,and also an important foundation for understanding Marx’s philosophical thought.The philosophical connotation of Marx’s educational thought can be specifically divided into the following five points: Firstly,Marx established the essence of human beings from the perspective of practice,and regarded human beings as realistic and social beings.Taking the thought of human nature as the theoretical basis and examining the essence of education from a practical standpoint,the essence of education is the means and process of promoting people’s practical ability and socialization.Secondly,human beings are the subject and purpose of education.From Marx’s understanding of the essence of education,education serves to achieve and develop human nature.Therefore,the highest purpose of education is to achieve the comprehensive development of human beings.Thirdly,Marx exposed the hypocrisy and inequality of educational concepts in capitalist society,and proposed that ensuring the fairness and justice of education is an important prerequisite for carrying out educational activities,and achieving the comprehensive development of human beings is the highest goal and highest value pursuit of education.From then on,Marx conducted an investigation and analysis of the development process of industrial machine production,and profoundly pointed out that the combination of education and productive labor is an inevitable outcome of the development process of industrial machine production,because the combination of education and productive labor eliminates the gap between workers and labor knowledge and experience,and realizes the unity of each other.Finally,there is a close connection between education and economy,politics,and culture,which is mainly reflected in the fact that the development of education is affected and restricted by the level of social productivity development,while education can improve social productivity,thereby promoting economic development;Education serves to consolidate and develop a political system that is conducive to the interests of the ruling class.In the major political revolution process in which the proletariat overthrows bourgeois rule,the power of education should be actively brought into play;Education is an important way of inheriting and developing human culture,while culture becomes the content of education in the form of knowledge.Marx’s educational thought plays an irreplaceable theoretical guiding role in the reform and development of China’s education.Therefore,in the context of the new era,deepening the philosophical study of Marx’s educational thoughts has significant theoretical value and practical significance.
