Marx’s Conception Of Freedom And Its Contemporary Significance

The Communist Party of China put forward the core socialist values at the 18 th National Congress.Freedom is the primary value orientation at the social level.And freedom as an important goal pursued by the Chinese people,is an important aspect of building a strong socialist modern country.Marx is a firm pursuer of freedom.After continuing exploration,he put forward the scientific concept of freedom in line with the process of human development.His freedom thought has great guiding significance for people’s understanding and realization of freedom.At present,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.With the national leaders’ proposal to build a community with a shared future for mankind and the common values of all mankind,Marx’s ideas have been endowed with new content.In order to better guide the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics,this article will discuss the evolution,main contents,and contemporary values and significance of Marx’s concept of freedom.This article mainly discusses from the following aspects: First,based on the classic original work of Marxism,it discusses the development process of Marx’s concept of freedom from four stages.It mainly includes the germination stage,formation stage,development stage and maturity stage of the Marxist view.Secondly,the main content of Marx’s concept of freedom is expounded from four dimensions.The first is to analyze the ideological connotation of Marx’s concept of freedom,including that the subject of freedom is the individual of reality,freedom is the understanding of inevitability,the way to realization of freedom is practice and the free labor is the manifestation of freedom.The second is to discuss the historical specificity of freedom from the three stages of dependence on people,the dependence on things and the all-round development of people.The third is to clarify the multiple provisions of freedom.It is reflected in the unity of the absoluteness and relativity,and the negativity and enthusiasm.Fourth,from the connotation of the free kingdom,the leap from the inevitable kingdom to the free kingdom and Community is the premise for the realization of individual freedom.From these perspectives,it is clear that the ultimate realization of freedom is the establishment of communism.Finally,combined with the specific national conditions of contemporary China,the contemporary significance of Marx’s concept of freedom is explained.From the perspective of people practicing labor and meeting people’s needs,it has laid the foundation for promoting the development of material productive forces;from the perspective of grasping the connotation of freedom,clarifying the difference between liberalism and defining the boundary of freedom,and grasping the principle of socialist values,it shows that Mark’s concept of freedom is to cultivate and practice society.The core values of socialism provide theoretical support;Marx’s concept of freedom provides value guidance for building a community with a shared future for mankind,which is mainly reflected in seeking common ground while reserving differences,building a community of free development and equality and reciprocity,and building a community of win-win cooperation.
