Children,as the main group reading picture books,are the main target of narration of picture book.Furthermore,the research on the cognitive ability of children in corresponding age groups is the basis of the research on children’s picture book narration.On this basis,grasping children’s interest in reading is the key to be studied by scholars and creators related to picture books.For children,an interesting story or picture is one of the most effective means to attract them,which cannot be separated from a wonderful narrative rhythm.Rhythm,an extremely difficult and necessary concept in narrative art,is a necessary means of expression to arouse readers’ emotions and reading experience.Therefore,as a narrative art,whether the plot and picture of picture books have a coherent rhythm is the key to the success or failure of picture books,and harmonious rhythm is the key to guide children into the world of picture books.At present,the Chinese children’s picture book market is developing rapidly,but there are few high-quality picture books.The main reasons include the lack of understanding of children’s cognitive ability and interest points,and the lack of relevant theoretical guidance,which makes it impossible to reasonably control the rhythm of picture books.The stories will become stiff,obscure or fragmented,and readers will lose interest in reading.Although previous theoretical researches on picture books have mentioned the expression and construction theory of narrative rhythm in the creation of picture books for many times,they are still relatively lacking,and the researches on children’s picture books mostly stay in the category of children’s literature or artistic creation.Therefore,the research on narrative rhythm is also lack of clear pertinence,and there is still no systematic or specialized theoretical research on it.Starting from the above problems,this paper first establishes that the target audience of picture book creation is 4-6 years old children that were conducted theoretical research on the cognitive development,and analyzes the appropriate picture book rhythm for 4-6 years old children and the influence of picture book rhythm on children’s reading.Then,from the perspective of picture book theory and cases,this paper analyzes the performance,creation principles and artistic techniques of narrative rhythm of 4-6 years old children’s picture books,and finally applies them to the practical creation that was used to demonstrate and nourish theory. |
