Abstract/Summary:
This paper specialized on the research of the unique narrative structure of modern Japanese picture books.The research focuses on the impact of the historical development to Japanese picture books,the role of the modern view of children to the narrative structure of Japanese pictures books and the creative work and narrative of adults to the interpretation and extension of the structure of picture books and they built a multi cultural system of pictures books from two dimensions to three dimensions,from books to readers.The paper has four main parts.The first part.The author analyses and sorts the development process of the structure of Japanese picture books in this paper.From the origin and development process of picture books,the paper analyses the great changes from the contents to the styles and to people who read them.It shows us the gradual impact of great changes and development of the social environment to the form of the unique art system and at the same time how picture books influence society and become the main spiritual need in children’s growth.The second part.Taking post war as a modern time point,the author researches the relationship between children and the picture books.In post war Japan,children as an independent group were paid more attention to and modern view of children was set up.Artists began to work on picture books mainly for children.The understanding of the readers’ psychology acceptance becomes the major premise of structure narration.In this part,by different cases,the author discusses about how picture books built up and reflects view of children with narrative structure.and how the narrative structure works to children’s psychology.The author also discusses about the characteristics of different narration structure to different ages of children and how picture books influence children’s growth.The third part.In this part,the author analyses the reasons why an unique style and quality for picture books was built up in post war Japan.The reasons are researched with the nationality and the international points of view.Each picture book is a combination of words and pictures and the creators of these words and pictures are the creator of the culture.By analysis of different works,the author helps us understand the authors of the picture books,the time and the places they lived in and how these elements affected their narrative structure.The author believes that regional environment and surroundings create different people and culture.Tracing the culture and human nature and through the common characters and personalities of the authors,this paper analyses the social environment,the regional environment and how they affects people and culture.Further study is also made to the main subjects of creation,the style of creation,pictures and ideology in new history of art and culture study aspect.The fourth part.Starting with the relationship between the oral narration and the picture books,the author researches the significance of the oral transform to the narrative structure of picture books.The viewpoint that picture books is an art to hear with ears and to see with eyes is stressed in this paper.It begins with psychology leading to the study of sociology and give further study on what we should leave to children for their childhood life.Here In this paper,the author will give detail discussion about the relationship among picture books,children and adult,explaining from accounting to narration,from audio to visual,form sensation to imagination.Picture books are created and produced by books,planting to children’s life with oral narration,making children taking part in the stories with all of their senses and lay foundation for shaping perfect personalities for children.The fifth part.According to the current situation and practice,the author analyzes the connection between the Japanese children picture books and the original Chinese picture books.Since the beginning of the twenty-first century,the publishing industry in China began to introduce a large number of excellent Japanese picture books to China.There are also a lot of communication and cooperation between China and Japan in the field of children picture books.These help to promote the reading of children picture books and the publishing of the original picture books in China.The author also discusses the inspiration and the result she gets from her teaching of picture books.
