Traditional Chinese language teaching has problems in teaching the grammar items of‘yi X jiu Y’‘V dou V le’ ‘zai X ye Y’.These problems include insufficient attention to context and lack of interpretation for communicative purposes,which hinder students’ application of grammar structures.The emerging ‘Trinitarian Grammar’ differs from the structural-functional teaching theory and can analyze and teach grammar from the three dimensions of context,structure,and function,providing new ideas for second language grammar teaching.This article analyzes the related language materials of ‘yi X jiu Y’‘V dou V le’ ‘zai X ye Y’ and uses the case of teaching these three grammar formats with the application of‘Trinitarian Grammar’ in the author’s observation experience at Zhuji Ronghuai School as the analysis object.It explores how to implement the ‘Trinitarian Grammar’ in grammar teaching in the classroom and compares it with traditional grammar teaching.Based on specific examples,it demonstrates the advantages of the ‘Trinitarian Grammar’ framework in analyzing and organizing grammar teaching content,teaching focus,and classroom teaching,and proposes relevant teaching suggestions.Compared with traditional second language teaching,‘Trinitarian Grammar’emphasizes using context as teaching content and directly using typical contexts in teaching new lessons and classroom practice,allowing students to encounter a series of typical contexts at the beginning of teaching,experience function,and clarify structure,thus forming a systematic context framework,improving the use of grammar,and ultimately enhancing students’ Chinese communication ability in daily life.‘Trinitarian Grammar’ can also directly benefit teachers and students in lesson preparation and practice.On the one hand,teachers can analyze grammar according to the ‘Trinitarian Grammar’framework,clarify teaching content,grasp teaching focus,and standardize grammar teaching.On the other hand,the three-in-one practice mode changes the mechanical sentence pattern practice of the past,integrating context,structure,and function into one training,which can reduce the burden on teachers and improve teaching and learning efficiency.At the same time,the three-in-one proposition of ‘Trinitarian Grammar’effectively makes up for the shortcomings of traditional teaching theories such as structuralism and functionalism,and solves the problems of insufficient context teaching,incomplete interpretation of grammar rules and communicative purposes in the past teaching of ‘yi X jiu Y’‘V dou V le’ ‘zai X ye Y’,providing new ideas for second language grammar teaching.
