The "body" is an important topic of study in contemporary Chinese literature, and by approaching it from the perspective of the "body",people can gain a deeper understanding of the works and further realize the essence of life.Physical changes inevitably lead to psychological changes as well, the human body reacts differently at different stages of life, old age, sickness and death, and if not coped with properly it will not only have an adverse effect on the body, but also indirectly on the soul. Therefore “body” studies can provide insight into the changes that the body goes through and how it should be treated at different stages of life.Due to his own experiences,Zhou Daxin has always paid special attention to the human body, and this is reflected in his works. In particular,in "Getting old slowly",the author describes the physical and spiritual changes of the Main character as he goes through two stages of "old age" and "sickness" through the perspective of the escort.By describing the whole process of changes in Xiao Chengshan’s body brought about by aging, the author expresses the ideology of "precious body" and "cultivation of body",calling on people to care for their own bodies and not to blindly pursue "longevity",but to respect the natural laws of the body. The introductory section of the thesis is an overview of Zhou Daxin’s novels and the current state of research on the work Getting old slowly, and explains the significance and value of the chosen topic. This article consists of five parts in terms of content: "Introduction",Chapter 1,Chapter 2,Chapter 3,and "Conclusion".The main content is as follows:The first chapter of the thesis is an overview’s the theory of "body writing".The Main focus is on the traditional Chinese concept of the body, the Western concept of the body, and the author’s own concept of the body, analyzing how the relevant concepts of the body are presented in Zhou Daxin’s works, especially in Getting old slowly, and how they have influenced his writing. The second chapter of the thesis examines pathological writing in Zhou Daxin’s Getting old slowly. The analysis is conducted in terms of both physical pathologies,i.e.ageing and illness, and Mental pathologies,i.e.anxiety and loneliness, while illustrating how individuals and society view ageing and illness and related issues. The third chapter of the thesis reads the physical writing in Zhou Daxin’s Getting old slowly from the perspective of "Metaphor".The analysis is carried out from three perspectives: "physical illness","desire for prolonged life" and "the state of’nakedness’ ".Through Xiao Chengshan’s physical ageing and illness,he presents the plight of the elderly in Modern society, the indifference of human kindness in the consumer age and the reliance on human "love" to combat it.Through the description of Zhong Xiaoyang’s companionship, the author examines and critiques the irrational "desire to prolong life" of the elderly, thereby reflecting on the relationship between hu Man beings and nature, reflecting the author’s view of the body that respects and responds to nature. Finally, through the symbolic depiction of Xiao Chengshan’s "breastfeeding" to cure his illness,it Metaphorically shows that human nature is "baby" and that the "’naked’ state" of infancy is the presentation of the natural beauty of life, which contains a rich cultural connotation and philosophical reflection on life.Taking Zhou Daxin’s work "Getting old slowly" as an example, this paper uses the ancient Chinese concept of the body and the Western concept of the body as a theoretical basis, seeks to provide a new perspective. Moreover,it enriches the study of Zhou Daxin’s and his works by analyzing the author’s reflections on Modern society, his concern for human beings and his thoughts on life hidden behind the physical writing in Zhou Daxin’s works.
