The Artistic Value And Comparative Study Of Stove Paintings In Jiaxing Area

Jiaxing stove painting is a local art in which folk artists use soot,watercolor and toner paint to draw various auspicious patterns and text patterns on the wall of the farmhouse firewood stove to express people’s love and expectation for life.In 2011,Jiaxing stove painting was listed in the third batch of national intangible cultural heritage.This article takes Jiaxing stove painting as the research object,conducts in-depth research on it through on-site investigations,interviews with inheritors of intangible cultural heritage in Haiyan,Haining,and Xiuzhou District of Jiaxing,and literature review.Jiaxing stove painting is a form of folk art in Jiaxing.The article delves into the contemporary value,artistic characteristics,historical background,folk representation,cultural connotation,and aesthetic significance of Jiaxing stove painting.It discusses in detail the shape,production process,theme,content,drawing techniques,pattern patterns,and culture of stove paintings in Jiaxing,demonstrating the historical and cultural value,social and humanistic value of stove painting art The value of art education.A comparative study was conducted between the stove paintings in Jiaxing region and those in other regions of China.The structure,forms,layout,and cultural symbols of stove paintings in different regions were analyzed,showcasing the stove painting techniques and tools adapted by painters from different regions.Jiaxing stove painting has reflected the cultural consciousness,cultural confidence,cultural soft power,and other related issues within traditional Chinese culture and regional culture through its long historical evolution and practical life.This is of great significance for the inheritance,research,protection,and development of Jiaxing stove painting.This article also explores the similarities and differences between Jiaxing stove paintings and Western wet murals,elaborates on the restoration and protection concepts of Western wet murals,discusses the practical role and humanistic connotations of their painting art,demonstrates the importance and necessity of protecting Jiaxing stove paintings,and proposes corresponding protection measures based on the actual development status of Jiaxing stove paintings.Finally,based on the current inheritance status and development of stove painting techniques in Jiaxing,a thorough understanding was conducted to analyze the development trend of stove painting art in Jiaxing.By combining new media technology and the characteristics of the times,stove painting art was introduced into daily life,education and teaching,social practice,innovative carriers of intangible cultural heritage dissemination,actively utilizing environmental and human resources,and expanding channels for intangible cultural heritage inheritance,Provide policy support and financial support to inheritors of stove paintings,protect the creative source of folk art,achieve the active inheritance of intangible cultural heritage,and let more people understand and appreciate the art of stove paintings.
