| If "digital fashion" is defined from its generation method,it can be defined as:virtual clothing generated by digital technology.If it is traced back to its source,then "digital fashion" was originally: a derivative product of game companies exploring profit models,and the avatar of "self" on social platforms.People are familiar with the terms "digital fashion" in these two fields——game skins and avatars.After the rise and development of the Metaverse in recent years,"digital fashion" has gradually transformed into an interdisciplinary subject spanning the fields of games,fashion,and digital art.This term now refers more to digitally generated crypto assets,and creators will provide PS services that can combine digital clothing with physical characters to output images.In 2019,after the world’s first "digital fashion" as a digital crypto asset was sold for 9,500 USD at the Ethereal Summit in the United States,major brands,game companies,independent artists and studios also began to launch digital fashions and sell them in limited quantities.These high-priced "digital fashion" generally sell out quickly.Why is there no physical "digital fashion" so popular? People are pursuing freshness?Or is it for collection and investment purposes? Or simply pay for the art work?Adhering to the problem,this article first explores the development prospects and current difficulties of "digital clothing",and tries to explore new creative possibilities from the perspective of artistic creation,which will also help "digital fashion" in its aesthetic style of diverse development.By studying the origin and development status of "digital fashion",as well as the representative cases of "digital fashion" at home and abroad,using the method of case analysis,image analysis,comparative research,literature research and other methods,the present "digital fashion" is revealed a futuristic aesthetic landscape dominated by fractal art and metal textures.When sorting out and investigating the "digital fashion" works on domestic platforms,I also found the similarity of some works,the cartoonish modeling and the symbolization of Chinese elements.Therefore,combined with personal creative practice,the natural philosophy concept of fractal art and Chinese traditional culture are combined,to reflect on and explore the new creative possibilities of "digital fashion" in Chinese expression,which also contributes to the aesthetics of "digital fashion" of diverse development. |
