With the emergence of the concept of the metaverse,we have ushered in a more intelligent and connected era.At the same time, affected by the COVID-19,the application of online education has increased rapidly in recent years, and the role of metaverse in immersive education has attracted worldwide attention. This practice tries to convey the forward trend of the metaverse in a timely manner and promote the development of relevant fields in China. The practice report is based on the science and technology forum held by Global Strategy Institute(GSI)at the Korean Academy of Science and Technology(KAIST).With the guidance of Daniel Gile’s Cognitive load model and supplemented by Schema theory, the author explored the application of the model in consecutive interpretation. The report mainly describes the aspects of pre-translation,translation and post-translation,and summarizes the difficulties and challenges in listening comprehension, information storage and target language production in practice, such as the difficulties in source language recognition caused by fast speed and accent problems, the insufficient memory capacity caused by long paragraphs, and the heavy load of language conversion.Through the analysis of specific examples, targeted solutions are proposed, such as the use of context analysis, ellipsis and simplification, activation of schema, optimization of notes, conversion, diversion, repetition in order to provide some references for translation learners.
