Research On The Exhibition Strategy Of Local Comprehensive Museum

Since its birth,local comprehensive museums have accounted for a large proportion of the "ethnic group" of Chinese museums.As an important part of modern urban planning and construction,museum exhibitions are often effective publicity windows for visitors.This kind of museum exhibition usually tells the story of the geographical history and local culture,in order to promote the local characteristics of the daily settlement,the display of culture is more local and personalized.In the process of urban development,the composition of urban residents is gradually enriched,and the cultural spirit spread by local comprehensive museum exhibitions can also contribute to people’s awareness of the city image and residents’ formation of local sense of belonging and identity.It also has great potential to promote local culture to tourists and connect with residents of the city.Although this is a type of museum with "Chinese characteristics",the situation and problems encountered in the development process are not unique to China.Since the 20 th century,the concept of new museum has emerged in the social changes and is closely related to the development of modern museums.The meaning of museums has begun to expand in a more diversified and open direction,and its exhibition forms have also developed in more dimensions and directions.At the present stage,local comprehensive museums are often the "keepers" of historical relics,but how to expand the public consensus of visitors and display more personalized features is still their work dilemma.How can the custodians of history connect the reality to the future and participate in the construction of urban culture and the development of residents? How to better communicate with the audience based on "people" ?Can we face the future by showing the essence of the past while connecting urban cultural development and residents’ lives?This paper tries to combine the people-oriented core concept of the new museology theory,from the two aspects of exhibition content design and display design,to discuss the possibility of how the exhibition strategy of the local comprehensive museum should face the future,better combine with the urban cultural construction and residents’ life,and become the activity place of local cultural development and education.
