"Plan" is a word standing for an overall concept. The word "planning" is borrowed from the Chinese chess "weiqi", in which the player has to have a general idea of the situation before a piece is placed, followed by arrangements of priority with a view to the previously set goal. "Planning" refers to the process of making such arrangements in accordance with the general plan, considering every part with a view to the totality, placing parts after the totality, and larger parts before smaller parts, then making adjustments to every part with a view to the general framework. In the exhibition design for museums, the introduction of the concept "priority planning" has a significant meaning to both academic study and practical implementation.
