Picture Book Design Of The Lahu Migration Epic "Gengu" In Lancang County

In recent years,with the continuous protection of global intangible cultural heritage,picture books and illustrations based on ethnic minority epics are gradually becoming an emerging means of spreading oral literature and inheriting excellent traditional culture.The Lancang Lahu migration epic Gengu was included in the first batch of intangible cultural heritage protection list of Yunnan Province by the Yunnan Provincial People’s Government in May2006.According to the author’s survey results,the existing four communication methods of oral communication,written books,audio and video recording,online communication and digital information construction,have long and boring transmission factors that require the audience to master the Lahu language.Gengu is presented through picture books.On the one hand,it overcomes the language barrier through the collection and collation of epic content.On the other hand,the pictures of the picture book combined with the performance of the text enhance the epic interest and stimulate the audience’s interest in reading.Therefore,this article relatively systematically summarizes the research results that are helpful or instructive to this research in oral poetics and design,and uses the case study method to study and analyze excellent epic picture books at home and abroad.By analyzing the commonality and personality of these excellent picture books,it puts forward the Lancang Lahu migration epic Gengu.The design strategy and method of the picture book,and complete the picture book design with the theme of the Lahu migration epic Gengu.I hope to provide reference and reference for theoretical research and design practice in relevant directions in the future.
